I’ve ever really sat down and made a true want list of guns, just always had a list in my head.
Here are a few.
Walther SP22 M3
4F3D7654-4630-40B4-9E2B-8A441FFFB77D.jpeg

S&W 422
A94BE1C8-B3C9-4334-B7B7-88174E522E24.jpeg

US Property marked S&W Victory Model
1D64376C-23C0-4128-9846-49F1CE90CE33.jpeg

A heavy barreled 308 bolt action rifle, not sure of the brand yet.

S&W 686. Need one to go with those pretty Houge Walnut grips I’ve had for the last 25 years that are still in the package.

A FN 509 would go nice with my other modern simi autos.

Might want to build another AR on an Overthrow lower.

But my want list will always have empty lines that can be filled in at anytime.

So, What’s on your want list.

Off the top of my head and subject to grow at anytime,

Weatherby/Anschutz Mark xxii bolt action

Remington 541s Custom Sporter

Remington 7 in 260 Rem

CZ 550fs 30/06

Ruger Num1 460s&w

Savage 99 284 Win

CZ Shadow2

Sig p220 10mm

S&W mod 29 classic

CZ Shadow 2 or a CZ TSO
Ruger Precision Rifle
S&W 29 or 629
S&W 17-3
S&W 65 with 3" barrel
Maybe a GP100 in 10mm
Glock 20
Glock 29
Tafoglio Hunter 10mm
CZ Scorpion

Ruger Num1 460s&w

Sig p220 10mm
I have both of these guns.

The Sig is a spectacular gun and very soft shooting.

The Ruger beat the living crap out of me with 20 rounds, and I haven't fired it since. I believe it is too small for me and I had a hard time getting a good shoulder weld, and having some neck issues made it hard to get a good cheek weld. I either need some spacers on the butt pad and a Limbsaver, or I need to sell that thing.

I have a 4" 422 and it is a great gun, BTW, they also made an all stainless version, the 2206:
downloadfile.jpg It weighs about 3X what an aluminum framed 422 does, lol.

A phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range.
;)
:rofl::D:thumbup:

The only thing left on my want list is a .357 Redhawk. I really want a vintage 6 shot 7.5", but I may just settle for one of the new 5.5" 8 shooters, the moon clips are super neato!

My want list seems to change every year or so. There was a time I really wanted an H&K SL8-6, then that morphed into a SCAR16, which turned into a SCAR17. Also really wanted a Benelli Cordoba.

But now those guns are just a “nice to have if I was rich” type of thing. What’s on my current wish list is:
S&W 17 (preferred) or a 10-shot 617
“really nice” AR, like a Daniel Defense
Kimber K6s

I just need to stop stocking up on ammo, maybe I’ll actually save up enough to afford at least one of those by the end of the year.

A 40mm Bofors

But more realistically but nearly as unavaiable for different reasons....

S&W Model 16-1, 16-2, or 16-3.

S&W Model 52

Finish out the Smith frame collection, which means 32 topbreak, I frame (terrier), L frame, N frame, and X frame, a few frontstuffers...31 remington, 36 colt, 45 remington, dragoon, SxS muzzleloading shotgun in some random bore size, revolutionary era flintlock musket, sharps 50-110, 32-20 Winchester rifle, 32-20 colt revolver, 250-3000 marked savage 99, Ruger standard 9 shot, Llama Especial 32acp or 380, BHP, luger, double rifle in small African plains chamber that ends in Lott or H&H, PRS minded bolt rifle, full on doublestack 1911 race gun, 10mm auto witness limited...I think that's pretty well got the civilian guns covered...

Milsurps... 03a3, IH garand, m1 carbine, 1917, Thompson, 1911, victory in both calibers, SMLE, carcano, and of course mountain howitzer...

And a 10-22 that doesn't get sold within a month of me getting it how I want it.

A Colt Defender in 45 ACP will probably be my next purchase unless something else more interesting pops up.
The rest include a .357 auto-loader - probably a Coonan.
A 460 S&W - either a S&W or BFR would be fine...
A Rossi .357 lever action so I can thread the barrel. I have a marlin, but I'm not going to deface it.
A S&W 627 PC model would also be nice.
One of the upcoming CMP 1911 is also on the short list.

When I was 9, I used to bicycle across Portland, Oregon to go to Import Plaza to play with my favorite mechanical toy. It was a Hotchkiss Model 1937 25mm anti-tank gun with Italian markings that was set up in the middle of the toy department. It felt like a toy, as it was made of the lightest materials possible. The sights and breech block were missing and the tires were flat, but I loved messing around with that little gun.

Maybe I'll make a mock-up for my yard... or build it in .50.

On the ridiculous side:
.50 caliber Desert Eagle, gold-plated with mammoth ivory grips.
1896 Mauser Broomhandle
Johnson Rifle
On the practical side:
Ruger SP 101
Rossi Model 92 clone in .357
NEF Handi-Rifle (or similar)in 45-70

So, What’s on your want list.

I guess right now my want list is follows.

1. Mossberg 930 JM 24” I need this to complete my beginner 3 gun setup

After that I really don’t need anything so the want list is purely things I’d like to have. So in no order.

S&W M&P9C M2.0 - this seems like a nice gun to carry when a bigger gun with more ammo is an option the thought of one chambered, 15 in the mag and two 17 round spare mags is lawfully appealing.

I’d also like an M&P in 40. I’m not sure why, but if I’m adding guns for no reason then this makes no sense but it’s a want list.

I’d also like a 1911. I guess they are a classic and everyone raves over them. Plus some are so pretty.

On the rifle side.

I’d like a 22LR upper to put on one of the lowers I have. Nothing like cheap practice ammo!
Likewise a 300 Blackout upper would be fun. I guess the frugal guy in me doesn’t like seeing brass wasted so it’s an excuse to cut up damage brass.
A 6.5 Grendel would be nice.

I’d also like an AR 10 in 308 and 6.5 Creedmore.

Finally I’m thinking of building a set of tribute ARs so the may be part of mix and match with the above uppers.

The first is going to be a Navy AR to honor my grandfather who served in the Pacific in WWII.
The next an Army one to honor my brother and great uncles who served in Army.
A Marine one would be next to honor my karate instructor and a good friend here. I won’t mention who as I’d rather tease him.
An Air Force once to honor my friend who was at the Pentagon when it hit and my cousin who served in the AF.
And a Coast Guard one to round out the set.

Of course the set is to honor all who have served.

And lastly I’d just like to put together some fun ARs. Just because they’re fun to build and because black is nice but it’s also nice to have others to be different.

Oh and edited as I forgot...

A 50 BMG just because it’s big bad and nasty

Yep, the Brits traded the French some Boys Rifles for a like number of 25mm ATG......unfortunately they discovered that you had to pick them up and put them in a truck because they would literally fall apart if towed behind the truck!

The upcoming Sig 229 Legion SAO is top of my list.

Then I'd like to build a .308 AR, or maybe just buy one.

Also a AR pistol .300 BLK and suppress it.

That's all I have left these days, sure something else will pop up eventually.

Small arms;

Three more AR-15's all set up differently than the others. (I know. Lacks imagination.)

Ruger PC 9mm carbine with a Ruger SR9c companion pistol. (I love combo guns and especially that they share the same magazine).

NAA Ranger break-top 22 magnum revolver. (I wanted one from their first run. I just like top break handguns).

A couple of double action 357 Magnum revolvers.

Maybe a Ruger Vaquero in 357 magnum. (I have a embarassing shortage of 357 revolvers).

A Uberti Open Top revolver.

1851 Navy 36 cal. C&B revolver.

S&W Model 10-5 or 10-6 4" barrel 38 Special.

I already have every grail gun I ever wanted and some others that I didn't know I liked until after I got them. So anything I run across at the LGS or gun show that appeals to me that particular day will fit the bill nicely. Or I could get my own fully functioning Sherman tank with ammo.:D

Gunny, I thought you already had 2 of everything and enough spare parts to build a 3rd.
Close to it, but there are so many.
Oh! I want a Savage 110 in 223. And a 277 Wolverine barrel to replace the 223 barrel. The Savage doesn’t have to be pretty because I plan to refinish after changing 5he barrel.

I had two of the 422's years ago. A four inch and then a 6 inch. They were so light at the muzzle end I had a hard time shooting them accurately.
