Berettas on sale at Classic Arms for $299!

I purchased one of these a few years back from AIM Surplus. While it was used, it had been run thru an armor before being placed into storage. The barrel on mine and a friends did not even have wear from the slide.

I use it for a range toy. It shoots great. I was not wanting to buy an M-9 for full price. This satisfied memory lane.

I've never delt with this company. Anybody had any bad experiences? How's shipping handled?

Classic Arms is pretty good people. I've ordered from th e before and won't hesitate to again. I've one of these funky early 92s and it's a good shooter. Very sleek and shiny, small sights and an odd mag release but good all around.

My FiL got one of those a couple of years back. It's a good pistol.

I thought long and hard on getting one of these, but in the end, I ended getting a Daewoo PD51 instead. Even says Kimber on the side.

I have always found that Classic to on the high side. $299 is not a bad price for the 92s, but it's no sale price. AIM Surplus has them regular priced for $279 and hand picked for $289.

Numrich has a good supply of original Daewoo magazines, so I picked up two of them. I don't know, I like quirky, odd guns, just runs with me for some reason.

I've been watching these for several months at Aim Surplus. They're about 40 minutes from me, and while I've been wanting a 92f I feel like I probably would be just as happy with a 92s. This would just be a range toy for me after all.

Also, Taurus PT92 factory mags and ProMag versions of same have the heel release and will work on those.

I have both a 92S (my son's, actually), a 92FS, and a DP-51. The Daewoo and the Beretta are fairly different guns; the Daewoo is a good deal lighter.

Helpful tip: search ebay for Daewoo DP 51 parts. There is a dealer (Bama Gun parts, I believe) that has just about everything in stock, other than frames, slides, barrels and magazines. This includes pins, springs and every internal piece. I did have to replace the trigger bar on mine, as it was damaged. When I did, I also replaced the recoil and mainspring. Since I did that I've put around 500 rds through it, and the gun is definitely a keeper. Reliable feed, accurate, easy to keep on target. Trigger is very good to me, just an overall excellent combat gun. Before I bought it, I was on the fence about getting one, and only decided to get one due to a good price. Now, I'd have little hesitance to recommend one to anyone who likes or wants a conbat/duty nine.

Re the Beretta 92S- those are solid guns for a good price. I've found that aftermarket Taurus mags work just as well, as long as they have the notch in the base. My son's a righty, and the mag release doesn't bother him. I'm a lefty, and it's a hassle for me; but it's a nice-shooting gun.

magazine tip for the Beretta 92S: Sarco has 'reproduction' Taurus magazines for $15, this are 15 rd. These are the ones I got for my son's 92S, as extras. They feed and function perfectly.
Sarco has just started a free shipping for orders over $40 deal for Father's day weekend. If you have a couple of guns, it shouldn't be too tough to piece together forty bucks worth of stuff to get.

Thank you, I will do just that. I already have a Star BM and a Super in 9mm Largo, so parts searching is nothing new, but a nice adventure.

look all the way through the magazines, I think the Taurus mags are on the last or 2nd to last page. They don't show up under "beretta", or under T the first time through the alphabet. $15 ($14.95 for good, functional mags is not a bad thing).

Likewise the Numrich listing for $15 Daewoo DP 51 mags. THOSE are factory, and definitely worth it (and work in Lionheart LH9 too, a friend at the range confirmed).

Shop around, and include Gunbroker in that search.
We got our 92S on GB from R Guns. It was the lowest price I could find at the time, including shipping, of all the various deals. And to be clear on the subject, R Guns is an importer, and puts their own stamp (instead of CAI/Century stamps for example). This stamp wasn't a dot-matrix rough scratching, it was a clean, small stamping on the righthand side that didn't look bad at all. Font and size are about the same as the serial #.
They seem to run a storefront out of gunbroker, I suppose for the increased exposure.

I have them saved in a search so I can find them easily.

Regarding the Sarco deal: as it states, you have to get to $40 in order to get free shipping. I own a few guns, have picked things up from Sarco over the years. Here's some things I found that might help in accumulating enough stuff:

• the Taurus reproduction mags, for the Beretta 92S. They don't work in a 92FS, but do in the 92S.https://www.e-sarcoinc.com/taurus-model929mmcalibermagazine15rd.aspx
• 1911 stuff- I've found that their cheap surplus 1911 7 rd mags feed fine in my 2 inexpensive 1911's (have a Tisas and just picked up an Armscor High Standard, both 5" .45 acp). I just shoot FMJ, but again, I'm pleased to report they work without a hiccup. I did take them apart and clean them. The ones I got were the 2 that come in the canvas pouch. At the time I bought the 2 pouch/4 mag deal for under $20 apiece, which came out to $5 a mag. That deal is gone, but they have 1 pouch/2 mags for $14, which comes out to $7 a mag. Also, I bought a pair of the checkered "Diamond" wooden grips, currently out of stock, but they do have some other checkered grips for reasonable. They look great on my Tisas (big improvement over the smooth blonde plates). I also now have a repro leather holster on the way; I have an authentic one from before it was expensive, wanted to get another so each gun would have one.
• CZ 27- these are neat little WW2 era .32's, I've picked up a couple. One needed some internal work, Sarco had the parts cheap. I've bought a firing pin, a barrel retainer, and a recoil spring. If you have one and occasionally shoot it, it might be worth browsing what they have.
• They do have some stuff for Hi-Powers, including mags, and also some other popular pistols.
• They also have some fair supply of rifle parts, including a hand-guard I needed for an 1891 Mauser we're restoring to original stock.

It could be though that SOG only sells to FFLs. If you have a friend that is an FFL they could order for you.

I have been a little leery of the 92s because of where the mag release is located. You try to hit the mag release button and whoops its not there.

Great Price though. Even if you paid $279 to $299

I don't remember where I bought my 92S. I paid $289 with free shipping and it appears unissued.
