They fixed the trigger which is prone to break and removed the key lock. I think everything else is the same.

That's what I paid for mine, though mine is the stainless version. I like it. The sights are good, the magazines seem to be of good quality, I like the size and the way it fits my hand. Mine has been completely reliable for the 100 or so rounds I've put through it. The trigger isn't heavy, but it is a bit odd. It has a lot of takeup, which is mildly annoying, but it's nice after that. My BiL has carried his daily for years.

Here's a picture. I'm not 100% sure if I got the same version. I purchased it NIB in March, IIRC.

One thing that is not the same is the warranty.

The Taurus Millennium G2 PT-111 came with a lifetime repair policy. The new G2 does not have a lifetime warranty.

I had a PT111 Gen.3 some time back. No problems with it and I really liked it's compact size but ergonomically it just wasn't a good fit for me, especially with grip frame design. Sold it off and found a Ruger SR9c that I like a whole lot more.

That's what I'd do, for $100 more you get a, in my opinion, much better trigger and Rugers lifetime CS.

Plus the SR9c I had was crazy accurate for such a small gun.

Tried most of the compact size 9mm.s that were out there at the time and didn't really find one that I liked. Happened to be at the range one day when the fellow next to me was shooting his new SR9c. I noticed he was having a hard time getting any decent groups on paper. During a break he came over and asked me if I would try shooting it to see if it was him or the gun. I proceeded to put 5 rounds, all in the black, at around 30'. Works for me! Trigger was sweet just as it was right out of the box and the sights seemed to come up effortlessly on target for me. Next time out looking for a compact 9mm. I knew what I wanted and found an SR9c, bought it, and ever since have been very pleased with my choice! Great compact 9mm.!

Yeah, I had a SR9c and SR40c as carry guns for a few years. Ended up selling them when I consolidated my plot striker guns to Glocks.

I dont miss the Rugers, but they were darned fine guns. Especially for the money.

A hunting buddy has a Taurus G2. He likes it and shoots it well. He must be satisfied or he wouldnt keep it.


Another SR9c fan here.
My son had one. It was stupid accurate, anyone who picked it up can bounce pop cans with it.
One day he decided to trade it for another 1911, so i gave him the trsde in value. Now it is my favorite carry gun. Ambi safety, rail, forward serrations, loaded chamber indicator, light weight, and accurate.

You might want to add that your SR9c goes great with zucchini too!

To continue the G2C thread the g2c uses the heavier slide rails from the pt140 g2.
