Winchester 1873 Short Rifle in 357 Magnum

I have a 2018 Winoku 73 in .45 Colt here, saddle ring carbine.
I dislike the crescent buttplate, and I don't entirely trust the longevity of the action in .357 Magnum.

Quality is excellent.
It was a loaner sample, I liked it so much I bought it.

This would be my concern as well.

Current Winoku 73 metallurgy is far advanced beyond the original Winchester 73s, but it remains a toggle link action, which is simply not as strong as something like a 92, or a Marlin rifle.

I know the new guns are proofed for the pressures, but that doesn't guarantee a lifetime of steady magnum use through them.
Just my thoughts, others feel differently, and the Winokus ARE excellent quality products.

I understand the 73 is the preferred action for a lot of CAS shooters so Miroku makes more of them. Occasionally, however, they do turn out a few 1892s, of which I have a couple. They are well made and, while expensive, generally seem to cost considerably less than the 73s.

It looks really cool and fun to shoot, but that thing is pricey. I bought a similar gun from Marlin in the mid-90's for about $350 new. No idea why they cost so much now.

Miroku makes nice rifles, I have a couple. Both are based on the 1892 action.

Like earlier posters I too have reservations about the 1873 toggle-link action in .357 magnum caliber. I wonder how long it would last .....

They seem like really nice rifles... However, I did see one in 45 LC a while back that the trigger broke when it was only a few weeks old. The part were it broke appeared to be very porous.. The factory repaired it but it took a while to turn around...

Ditto. It would be interesting to check the head space now and again after a you use it for a while... Neat rifle though...
