Look around some, I think primary arms had some for stupid cheap right after I bought the two I needed. Other deals are out there as well.
I've looked around, from the reviews, the "stupid cheap" one is that way for a reason. Others that interest me are 300.00 range, so I wait for Delta team tactical to restock.

i have a 16" and an 8" barrel from kak industries, but I have yet to shoot either, just finishing my builds and haven't loaded ammo, yet.... They seem very nice. Great finish, and sharp rifling, and clean muzzle threads.

Just got an email from Delta team tactical, they have their .458 SOCOM barrel back in stock. I have one on the way, the KAK barrel really had my attention, but it can always be changed out. Haven't heard any complaints on this one, and the price is right.

I've no idea how Bear Creek Arsenal barrels are, but Primary Arms has them for $90 this weekend. Heavy stainless. Also melonite 458 bolt for $90. Prices valid Sep 15 & 16, 2018.
The reviews, not so good. Most people had to work on them somewhat for proper function. As to accuracy?
I figure if one is finished properly and functions out of box, chances of better accuracy are also higher. I want a barrel, not another project.
The KAK barrels reviews, for even the basic 140.00 model were impressive.

Holy cow! Everyone told me Delta team tactical was dependable, but a little slow on delivery...Not so! Sent 2 day priority, it was delivered today.
Nice snug fit in the Aero Presision .458 upper....nice and snug. I will true the front of the lower receiver and begin shopping for handguard, buffer weight, gas block, bolt and slap this puppy together.

I’ve been dealing with Delta Team Tactical for a few years now. They had some problems when they were growing, but they have always made things right. I built a 300 Blackout with one of their kits about three years ago. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get it to function 100%. I ended up sending it back to them. They installed a new barrel and handrail and sent it back at no charge. They have a great customer service.
Very nice barrel. Chamber has no sharp edges, nicely made. Finish is consistent, very high quality in its appearance. Way better than what I was expecting...WAY better.
Now if it shoots well, I will be super impressed. They have the bolt, (not entire bolt carrier assembly) on sale for 50 bucks. I think I will get this and use it in an existing carrier.
Otherwise, the Brownell's bolt and carrier assembly will do.

I've ordered several times from Delta Team Tactical, and they have some pretty nice prices. One item was not as I expected, and the return process was super easy and smooth. I've been VERY pleased with them. Just my experience.

Just finished my 50 Beowulf build (ok, 12.7x42) using the Brownells barrel and bolt combo. One snafu... the extractor was very very sharp, really cut into the rims when I test cycled it. So I got to learn how to radius the sides and corners. I knew if i screwed it up i could just buy an extractor, though.

My buddy Zack over at Aklys Defense has been pretty busy but was able to finish up the break.
This is the pic he sent me earlier today.
I was able to run over to the shop at lunch time to pick it up. Now this is a prototype that they are calling the Megalodon. I’m going to try and build the rifle this weekend and will do a separate post on the build.
This thing looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun to shoot.
Zack is going to be out of town till the end of next week so, I’m going to wait till then to shoot it.
They want to test it out to see how it performs.

That brake looks good. You'll have to shoot the gun with and without it and see if you can feel how well is reduces recoil and muzzle climb.

Seems like I was suggested 5 oz for the buffer weight on the .458 SOCOM? Just received the GEISSELE Braided spring buffer weight and 2 extra tungsten weights. It says as it comes, it is H1, 1 tungsten weight and 2 stainless weights. for H2, trade one stainless weights for one of the tungsten, making it one stainless and two tungsten weights. for H3, three tungsten, no stainless. I havent traded any weights around yet, but didnt think H3 was 5 oz. Nothing in the Geissele info says anything about "weight", just H1, H2, and H3.
Anyone know if the H3 will be sufficient for the .458 SOCOM? If it doesnt work out, I can use this in another AR and just buy the correct buffer weight, which I believe is 5 oz right?
Any info appreciated!

Gunny I am pretty sure I will hear that brake way up here in cheese country, that thing looks menacing!

The original design called for a carbine buffer, but my .458 ran fine with an h3, and a heavy duty spring. What I found was that while it slowed the recoil from a fast shove into a slightly less fast shove, it also made the return of the bolt assembly very pronounced.

Gas and mass... balance it out and a LOT of combinations can work just fine.
