Riptile Ammo Can

Seems like a lot of work when you could mark the can with a big H with a Sharpie. :)

I guess that would be the same as telling someone reloads, that is to much work when they can just buy loaded ammo. :)
It really doesn’t take that long. And the hardest part was spraying the paint.
Also, I don’t spend much time watching TV so, I have plenty of time for piddling around.

It’s also like telling you that all the time you made painting the beautiful lower was a waste. Some of us disagree and appreciate the artistic beauty.

I mostly shoot 22LR and 9mm these days. Not practical to reload 22LR and I can buy loaded 9mm for about what it would cost me to reload, so I don't reload these days.

As a hobby type activity, I can see camo painting ammo cans.

Not much worth watching on TV these days.

That's the beauty of our great country. I shoot 9mm, but I enjoy reloading. So while cheap 9mm is available, I love that I can get different bullets than what's easy to get here. I can pick the powder and charge and be able to make the rounds the way I want.

And what's wrong with TV? As long as the Washington Capitals are in the playoffs, I'll be watching them. Of course when they decide to pick up the golf clubs as it's getting warm out, I'll be done with TV for the summer! So I'll spend more time in the shop finding things to mess with on my workbench that Gunny got me to finish!

Roku, Netflix, Amazon Prime and NFL is about all I watch. Just not much on network TV that interests me these days.

Car shows and the Caps and a little news is all I can stand. And even the car shows are getting lame.
Oh and Outdoor network has some shooting shows. Jerry Michalak's show Shootout Lane is ok. Nowhere near as good as his YouTube channel but ok.

Very creative, I like it. I too use ammo cans, they're starting to get expensive around here in my area.

Gunny, how do you feel about jazzing up the hood of your police car with painted flames? Not interested,,, I figured that much, How about painting an ammo can with flames? I saw a mailbox the other day adorned with flames.
I'm gonna look up some do it yourself "flames" painting and adorn one of my cans with them. I believe masking tape and striping tape are all that is needed. I have a bou-cou bunch of rattle can paints.

I drive an unmarked car these days, but I think someone above my pay grade would get upset if I painted flames on it. Plus I like the gray.

Be sure to post pics of your flaming ammo can.

I took the You Tube painting primer. I'm convinced I can paint flames on an ammo can if I get a small enough "air brush" outfit. I already have compressed air and regulator. I go to Harbor freight tomorrow and maybe "Hobby Lobby" in search of the 4 necessary colors. Paint is important. Translucent colors are a must. Sheesh! I can see flames now..... On an ammo can? Bad choice? The only drawbacks I see are the small surface area of a 30 caliber can and the necessary sweeping moves necessary for the flames. The good news is that the quantity of paint needed is super small..
Concerning your Gray unmarked car: Put some white sidewall tires on it and nobody will know it's you! :) I really believe it is your personal vehicle. Nice car anyway. You shoulda' seen what I was driving before it was T-Boned on May 29. A 2005 Mailbu. Rusty,... but was gas efficient and reliable. Eight months before that my wife was T-boned in her BUick. Neither one of us was at fault but it cost me $20,000 for replacements. Cest La Vie.
Back living from hand to mouth with a small firearm investment tucked in along the way.
Keep us entertained and thank you for the super fine pictures. Your expertise in photo imagery and composition is nothing short of a work of art.
Now the new question,,,, can you paint nudes in oil? I'd settle for finger paint.
