I went shopping with my wife today for flooring (oh yeah) and when we were leaving my wife asked me if I wanted to stop at Field and Stream which was across the road from us.
I was looking for the deluxe control panal kit for my LNL-AP and said to her, why not.
We headed straight to the Hornady rack since I didn't think I'd find it here at a good price, if they even had it, there weren't any.
On the way back out I was walking past a guy stocking a rack and the word "Control" and Hornady orange caught my peripheral vision and I immediately stopped.
There it was on the rack. I picked it up and it was $189.00 which is cheaper than Midway.
The guy stocking the shelf told me " Now you have to know that this is a clearance rack and anything on it is 90% off".
He said that makes that deluxe control panal $19.00. I just looked at him in shock.
I said "What's wrong with them?" The guy said nothing, we just don't want the hassle of sending back to Hornady because they didn't sell so we are putting them on clearance.
He said every thing on this rack is 90% off.
I picked up a brick of Federal Large Pistol Match primers and looked at him. He said "those are $4.00 per thousand".
WIFE, GET ME A CART!
I bought the following:
3) LNL deluxe control panal kit for $19.00 each. (bought all three for the free bullets).
6) 1000 ct boxes of Federal Large Pistol Match primers for $4.00 per thousand.
1) 9mm/357mag bullet feeder die for $2.30
1) RCBS 3 die carbide die set for 45 Colt for $5.50
1) .357mag shell plate for my AP for $3.50
Then I had to run back and get the aluminum tubes for the bullet feeder die. I had to pay $29.95 for them but I didn't mind.
Receipt
I still can't believe it.
I was out of large pistol primers and I also wanted a control panal and got them both for next to nothing.
Unbelievable!
My receipt said I saved $830.34.
I hate to shop and the whole way home all I heard was "See, you need to shop with me more!" I didn't have a leg to stand on.
