Not many revolvers left after these two

In New Jersey it is a pain in the you know what to purchase a handgun. Each handgun requires its own permit to purchase, with annoying paperwork.

So about a year ago it was off to the Local Police Station to start the paperwork on two purchase permits.

The two guns purchased:

Smith & Wesson 27-2 from about 1977

Smith & Wesson .44 Special from 1916

These look like my last firearm purchases for a good while

Pretty good choices, and fun revolvers to shoot. That nickel 27 is pretty (and useful), and the .44 should be a hoot at the range ...

I got them delivered to the local FFL and picked them up between December and February about a year ago.

Just recently realized that with these two in the stable there are no revolvers left for me to realistically think about getting.

The .44 looks like a Triple Lock. That should be pretty valuable.

Not cheap, but about 1/3 the cost of a Registered Magnum in the same condition.
Registered Magnums are priced high enough that I've never considered getting one.

Those two revolvers are absolutely stunning, especially the nickel plated Model 27! Sorry to hear about your governmental obstacles to getting them but they're both well worth the wait!

The nickel 27-2 is especially nice given that American Manufacturing in the late 1970's was in a bit of a rut quality-wise
