What did you exchange at your wedding? Rings?!

Got hitched over the weekend. Instead of the traditional rings, we exchanged these. Yeah, I paid for both, but it's the symbolism that counts, right?

Mine (top)- Browning X-bolt Medallion Safari Grade in 30-06.

Hers (bottom)- Browning X-bolt White Gold Medallion Maple in 270 Winchester.

Going to get her a nice Leupold custom shop VX-R with the silver finish for it for Christmas.

Going to have to wait until tax time to afford the glass I want for mine. 20181017_160209.jpg

Very nice ... and Congratulations! :)

Closest I have come to (or will ever come to) that is the AR-15 that I gave to my niece as a wedding present.

My sister thought an AR would be terrible wedding gift. My niece said that she seriously doubts that she will receive anything that she will like better. :D

I'm building her an AR too. Have a handguard for it on the way from Rainier Arms right now, actually.

That’s neat. I went through 3 wedding rings and couldn’t stand to wear any of them. I finally just told my wife enough is enough, I can’t wear a ring. I offered to get a tattoo ring but she didn’t like that so for the last 8 years or so I’ve just gone without. Sure wish I could have just gotten a rifle from the start!

We didn't exchange firearms at my wedding in 1978, but I did buy her a Ruger 10/22 as a wedding present. She still has "her" rifle, and periodically reminds me that I taught her how to shoot.

Are you serious?
Congrats!

Nice

Congrats...now if your wife would only convince mine that I like an occasional gun as a present, too.... o_O

Stay safe, and may you have a long and happy life together.

Wife and I exchanged rings, as traditionally. Although I bought both of them.

My godson lives in Louisiana. His father is a single dad who was engaged to a rather nice lady from his military days. They bought engagement gifts for each other, engraved and sequential serial numbers, Kimber Sapphire 1911s. Too bad the wedding was called off.

First off, congratulations on your new bride. It appears you have made an excellent choice.

Back in the dark ages when my wife and I married I could barely scrape together enough money to buy her a ring and she was basically broke. I didn't care. She was what I wanted and I didn't wear rings anyway. Things have changed somewhat in the money supply and she has been rewarded with several rings and has even bought me three despite me telling her I didn't want to wear a ring. I had a very painful experience with a ring one time and that cured my ring wearing. I prefer to keep my blood inside my body.
