What's the legality of shipping a complete AR upper (upper receiver/barrel/BCG/etc) into Massachusetts? My research indicates it may not be allowed.
Any information gratefully received.

Seconded....the real problem is most companys like Palmetto and BRAVO CO. won't even ship uppers to Mass anymore because they just can't be bothered with Maura Healys BSAIANAL but if the upper has a flash hider it has to be removed and replaced with a muzzle brake or thread protector that has to be permanently attached by a pin and welded. Also no bayonet lug.
All of the above while correct in that those rules apply to finished RIFLES. AR15 parts are NOT regulated. A LOT of places wont do shipping to Massachusetts. PSA being one of them. There are no restrictions on parts. If you are sending an upper you are GTG. Removable flashhider or not, it isn't a rifle/firearm so it is irrelevant. ...
Here's the thing. No bayo lugs, no flash hiders and any brake needs to be pinned or welded. With all that said, you can have any upper you want if someone will ship it to you.....
