I'm considering shooting "single stack" in a local ICORE/UPL handgun match this month and wanted to do some shakedown runs of my older reloads as money is tight. I have never shot either RIA in a match. I used the DW as my primary "heavy metal" sidesrm until they wussified the division and basically made it tacops with a big rifle. The DW didn't like my stubby 1.12" Lee 200 grain LSWC loads last time out so I wanted to confirm that and maybe see if either RIA would perform better with them. Anyway here are some groups for any interested. All 8 round groups, all from 12 yards offhand. I ran out of shoot-n-see replacement centers for the DW groups so I used B8s, and put an orange sticky on the X, which I hit with the first shot both attempts.
So that's my excuse. That last group is the best group I've ever shot, from the DW a couple of years ago. So the pistol is willing though the flesh is weak.
I don't punch paper much so I only shot one group with each of 2 loads with each pistol.
First of each pair is the Lee LSWC load,

4.6 Hp38 45 MBC 230 softball
RIA 1911 GI

DW Heritage Razorback,

I had a failure to feed with the DW and the Lee LSWC so that eliminated that pistol/load from my options for this match.
