Walther PPQ M1 5" Barrel

I have a Walther PPQ with a 4" barrel. Mine is the an M1. I bought it when the PPQ line was first introduced. When they came out with the PPQ with a 5" barrel, I often thought I would like to have one, but I prefer the paddle mag release of my M1 over the button mag release Walter was now manufacturing the PPQ's with.

I just came across a web site that is selling the 5" PPQ with the M1 paddle release. The company, claims to be the only place where you can get the 5" PPQ with a M1 mag release. Does anyone know if there if there is any other place where the 5" PPQ can be got with the M1 mag release. I realize I am probably in the minority, but I prefer the paddle release over the M2 style.

So, you got a 5" M1 from them? How do you like it. One review I read said they didn't think the trigger reset was as good as the original 4" M1 PPQ, but that's just one persons opinion.

I did indeed grab one when they were on sale. I haven't had an opportunity to shoot it yet as I just got the cast off of my hand after having surgery and I've been down with bronchitis for the week since. I have dry fired it against my 4" PPQ with snap caps and I don't notice a whole lot of difference in the trigger between the two. Having said that, the break on the 5" is ever so slightly crisper (more of a glass rod breaking sensation v. the very smooth pull through the break that my 4" PPQ has). There is no discernable difference in reset between the two triggers. For out of the box triggers on mass produced guns, both are outstanding in my book.

Thanks for the info, I'll be on the lookout for one. I'm in no hurry, I may have to sell my 4" PPQ or my M&P CORE first

This is actually an M2 not an M1
