If you had to add another chambering to the stable

I have 22LR, 32ACP, 9mm, 10mm, 5.56 and 30-06.

I’m debating .357 at the moment - specifically a S&W Model 27. It’s surprisingly hard to find one I want - a decent condition (90%) shooter, 3.5 inch barrel, under $1000.

My bases are all pretty much covered......... Although one of my buddies has to call me first if & when he decides to sell his Marlin lever in .35 Remington. Even though I already have a Marlin lever in .30-30..... Just can't resist getting to play with a different classic "woods gun" chambering in a Marlin lever gun.

My very small LGS has AR uppers in 7.62x 39 at a very attractive price. Let's see, I have an AR and a bunch of powder that will work that I'm not ever going to use with I bought it for, plenty of primers, but no dies and no brass, and I have no idea what I would use th caliber for for. I've given up big game hunting because, frankly, I'm not up to it any more. I have better calibers for the varmint hunting I'm able to do, home defense is covered by something I consider much better than a AR----but there is still all that powder sitting there with no use. Gong shooting, maybe, or blowing up water filled soda bottles.

My common sense is probable going to lose in the end and I'm going to wind up with a new upper.

For handguns 45 colt is most likely next. But hopefully will be a Blackhawk convertible.

For rifles I'd like to get another 30-30 or 45-70. Have had both in the past and would like to have them again.

But I'm on the prowl for a deal, so who knows what's next ,LOL.

I'd really like to get a BH Convertible in 45 colt/acp as well. I've never had a .45 colt and have sold off my .45 acp to fund other wants. That revolver would scratch two itches and add two cartridges to my stable.

I too have been Jonesing for a 45-70. I just haven't pulled the trigger due to price as well as having a need for such a thumper of a gun. Still a Guide Gun has been on my short list for about 10 years. I've nearly snapped up a Mossberg 30-30 a couple of times at a good price. I had a 336 (actually two. One in 30-30 and one in 35) but they were kinda rough on my hands as my little finger on my cycling hand is damaged so the small loop bites it something fierce. A compact 336 with a big loop would be tough to pass up though.

I have a Ruger Bisley in .45 Colt. It is my handgun that virtually everybody can shoot well. And it doesn’t smash your knuckles like a Blackhawk. Plenty of power for deer size critters and bigger if you power up your loads.

I am considering a "Back to the Future" caliber selection. The 25-06 is a delightful caliber, accurate, easy to load for and a great performer on game. I've had one before, not sure why I sold it. The Weatherby Vanguard (Turkish walnut)or the Ruger #1V call to me; but it will be a 2019 project.

But then...somebody mentions a Henry in 45-70, and I start drifting that way...:)

Having a hard time coming up with one I want but don't already have. In the last 2yrs I've added .45/70, a couple 20gauges, .454Casull, 6.5CM, .44-40, .38-55, .450BM, .375WCF and .40S&W/10mm. Maybe a .41Mag, .41Spl or both.

6.5 SAUM/GAP 4S or 6.5 PRC

And I think I'd like a .375 Ruger some day ...

I currently don't own any 38's or 357's now. I'd like to get a 38 or 357 snubby in the near future and then a lever rifle sometime down the road.

I'm also lacking any shotguns, so a 12 gauge HD model would be nice. I'd like a coach gun as well

In handguns right off my head a GP100 in .44 Special.

In rifles, a lever action in .44magnum/special to complement the handgun.

Or a 6.5mm rifle, but not sure which one.

I’ve been looking at the 45-120, but it seems kind of silly with the cost of brass

.45ACP. Of the 3 most common handgun rounds (9mm, 40, and 45) it is the only one I do not currently own. Caveat is I have a 1911 in 45 but it is a safe queen and not for carry.
