So what are you shooting just for the fun of it?

Just for the fun of it? 1911's, maybe 50-100 rounds a month. I enjoy shooting them, but I do everything with Glocks and CC my shield 9. 1911's are all safe queens unless they get a trip to the range. Once or 2x a year I may shoot a wheel gun.

This week I'm going to get back into my .22's. Just saying I need a break from the centerfires and feel the need to put itty bitty bullets into tight groups. Biggest benefit, no reloading required.;)
Ya, the .22s are getting plenty of range time lately. Also looking forward to plinking with my M57 soon- its too big and valuable to carry or keep in the nightstand, so just a range toy really.:)

My kids and shooting buddys always request I bring a few favorites including my .410 Enfield, stocked Luger, and M1 carbines. Those are all a hoot.:thumbup:

I shot my 1911 and my AR Pistol for the fun of it yesterday. I wanted to test my Trap loads on the patterning board, so I brought them with. Let some 20-something guys shoot the AR Pistol, they thought it was cool. They gave me their '06 brass, they were sighting in a Savage 11 and an in-line muzzleloader.

Hi...
I shoot most of my guns for fun at some point.
The one that realistically is only for fun is my Cimarron Mason -Richards conversion in .38Spl. It is just a fun little gun to shoot that has no other use as a hunting, target or self defense weapon.

22 handguns are always fun. I have a new to me Ruger Standard to try out tomorrow morning.

I got two medium-framed steel snub 38's recently: a S&W Model 10 and a Miroku that's a Colt copy. They are both really fun to shoot! The weight makes them soft shooters, and they both have great triggers.

My S&W Model 625 has become a real favorite of mine. It's my first N Frame. It fits my XL hands well and makes big .45" holes in the paper.

I like shooting almost any handgun, but those are some of the ones I'll be shooting tomorrow just for fun. :)

44 mag in a ruger super redhawk my 29-4 is back at the factory. magnum loads but not max and midloads are fun.

22 especially when i dont feel like picking up brass.

38 wadcutters such light recoil and nice holes

I tend to though rotate most here. The favorites and easy choice is the .22LR's between the S&W 2206, and 10-22. The Marlin 60 hasn't seen much this year maybe 300 rds. Can't explain why, maybe I've not liked loading the tubular mag even though I have a Spee-D-Loader. o_O

Can't explain why but I really enjoy shooting my BHP.
Ruger 22/45 with a Fast Fire 3 is fun shooting steel targets at 50 to 100 yards.
The 22 ammo is piling up with all the deals lately which adds to the fun.

+1 on the 625, haven't shot mine once this year, going to have to break down and make some 45 Colt reloads for it.
At least I won't have to chase the brass.:)

Ruger Bisley in .41 Rem. at 200 to 300 meters. It really shows you just how slow those bullets are moving and that if you use a heavy enough bullet it really does not really matter all that much how long it takes to get there. BOOM! 1....2....3.... CLANG!

For inexpensive pleasure at the range I've been shooting an old three screw Ruger 22 lr Single Six revolver. Lately, I bring along my newly acquired Dept. of Corrections trade in model 10-10 38 spl. and shoot 50-100 rounds after the Single Six. By shooting a hundred rounds of 22lr first and then something else, I can go to the range weekly without breaking the bank. The revolvers slow my shooting down compared to my semi automatics that can go through a couple hundred rounds pretty fast. Sometimes I substitute a GP100 .357mag or Sig P226 instead of the model 10 but the Single Six 22lr hasn't missed many range trips lately.

Like the corporal, realistically, all of them. For the last few months it's been a variety of 22 rimfire , both hand and long guns. School's out for Thanksgiving and the two oldest GG girls are here for the day. Since it's supposed to be a reasonably nice day I have a range trip with 22's planned. I won't get a lot of shooting done but I'll enjoy watching the kids burn up ammo.

Most of my “fun” shooting this year training, practice, and competition with my 6 creed Seekins Havak PH1 or 22LR Savage Mark II BSEV. My “only for the enjoyment” shooting has mostly been with a 22LR Ruger Charger, at 300yrds.

I've been shooting my PS-90 a lot lately. Came across a full case of ammo at a good price.

My son recently set up to load 5.7, so zI felt like I needed to provide him with some brass!:D

FN15 with Vortex Strike Eagle 1x6x24. Coyotes, armadillo's and skunks or opossums and skunks that look drunk during the daylight!
