What knives are on your list?

I'd like a Holt Spectre https://holtbladeworks.com. But man are they expensive.
And I'd like the sage 2 before it's gone. But I bought a sage 5 I stead because everybody liked the compression lock so much. I'm not a fan. Bit then, I'm something g of a a curmudgeon.

I wish I had bought one of the bm 710 clones China was producing last year. Carbon fiber, d2, $60. I bought a 940 copy instead to see how it compared to my real one. It stacked up impressively well. Not as good, but a heck of a value. Of course, now the (10s (real and fake) are gone and the 940s remain.

I s'pose I should throw out my list.

Yesterday the Spyderco 2018 discontinued list dropped, which forced me to finally order a Sage 2 before they're gone.

After that, at this point the only other knife I want badly is a Chris Reeve large Sebenza 21 Insingo blade shape with the carbon fiber or Micarta inlays.

The Benchmade Bugout is interesting but not a priority. I feel the same about the Spyderco Brouwer. The KW exclusive Benchmade 940-1501 is interesting, but the 940 still hasn't totally taken me. The new Buck 110 Slim in the Pro variant with S30V blade and Micarta scales is really interesting, but the pinned construction is holding me back from buying one. Eventually I'd like to get a custom titanium frame lock made with a Vanax blade, but that's a long way off.

I REALLY want a Buck 112 Pro Auto.

... but I have to wait for switchblades to be legal in my state.

Carbon Fiber scaled Ferrum Forge Gent is on the way and I just got my Kephark BK62. A local smith is working on completing a small damascus hunter (as soon as I get some ivory to him).

I want a Kukri.

Don't know why. Just do.

Me too, ever since I first learned about them here at THR a few years ago.

I had looked at HI and window-shopped around, but I couldn't really justify the purchase or the price. Well, this past gun show I didn't see a true HI product, but rather what turned out to be a Condor Heavy Duty Kukri Knife. Very lightly used and in very good shape, but no sheath. Sticker said $65; vendor said he would take $50.

It's a lot more knife than I'll probably ever need, and honestly I could probably mostly do whatever job with the 2 machetes I already had. Still happy to have it. I think all things considered it would be more useful to me than a small hatchet IMHO. Will keep an eye out for a generic sheath that will work, or maybe even try to make one out of an old belt I have laying around. Looking forward to sharpening it up and giving it a spin.

Anything that says Case on it :)

I am going hunting for a Case single blade trapper! Mom is sending me cash for my Birthday.

If that's the 047 pattern I really like it too. I used to be in a Case roundtable where we gave each other knives and someone gifted me a 047 and it became my favorite over the regular Trapper, which I have a bunch of. Also love Hobos.

I have three of these that I funded on Kickstarter back in March. I'm dying to try them out. I have no feasible use for a karambit, but it is such a cool design. Apparently they are delayed a bit waiting on blades to come back from IonBond and for a re-manufacture of fasteners that were within spec but the net error was a couple ten thousandths high. I'm going nuts waiting for them.

They are supposed to be Great fighting knifes!

I've got pretty much everything I need, but I'm knife guy more than a gun guy.

I might have accidentally stumbled upon a Schrade Manila Folder in my wife's closet that will probably end up under the tree for me;) I had hinted at wanting one just because. It's an old 1980s style balisong/butterfly knife. Heavy as all get out, pinned instead of torque screw construction, a total rattlebox. However a big ol 4" piece of D2 blade wrapped in nostalgic steel handles for under $80 bucks is kinda fun:)

One of my favorite knives was a Case CV Trapper with Amber bone scales and sent it to a guy called Muskratman. http://www.muskratmanknives.com/
He took the knife apart and removed the spey blade and put it back together looked like from the factory.

I've wanted a Chris Reeve small Sebenza for a long time, but never got around to buying one......That's about to change!

I may be overly simple in my wants, but I want to replace my S&W hatchet/knife set that I have used since the late 90s. The hatchet is chipped and boogered up from cutting pelvic bones and legs. I think I want a more traditional setup this time, a strong sheepsfoot blade skinner, a heavy wooden dowel to whack the spine with for precision cuts to separate joints, and an ulu. Throw in a small traditional 2ish lb hatchet or hand axe and I’m good. Put it all in a rabbit or coon hide pouch and I’m even better.
