Lovely, I suggest you true / lap the upper receiver face on both and glue the barrels in with Loctite 609>

All mine I have done this to, shoot more factory ammo, with more consistently tighter grouping.

I have so much faith in this, that I do it to ALL my uppers.

As an example... this is a factory PSA 308 upper with a FN CHF CL barrel at 100yds..10rds Hornady 155gr Amer. Gunner.
I don't shoot like this every day , but...

And my Criterion 6.5CM barreled PSA upper.. same 100yds 10rds, w/ 140gr 6.5CM Amer. Gunner

Bfoosh006, are you able to separate the barrel and upper after using loctite 609?

Great shooting. You obviously have those rifles dialed in.

Are those handloads and if so what kind of powder are you using? Thanks.

Both are factory rounds.. and frankly, reasonably inexpensive. Both are Hornady American Gunner

Out of curiosity... what is there to true? And how do you do it?

The upper receiver face, where the barrel makes contact.

I also Loctite them in , just like the video shows.

Doing both has never let me down, and IMHO... it allows you to get the utmost from a quality barrel. It even changed my PSA OEM factory barrel from a 5 different factory rd sub MOA barrel into a 11 different factory rd sub MOA barrel...
Along with other "improvements" that PSA is a winner for me.

Read the whole thread since it was pretty chopped up, over so much time.
Lots of before and after results.

This video shows how easy it is. ( Video 3, about the 50 second mark. )

Aha. I can't imagine that doing that with the cordless drill would be all that precise. I might just have to try it on my lathe on my next build. Or take apart one of my current ones to try it. Just hadn't heard of anyone doing that, but it does make sense that the anodizing wouldn't necessarily be perfectly even. Can't imagine that the specs on the upper receiver would be that bad, but I suppose that even that might not be perfect (or anywhere close to perfect).
