M&P 9c range report and the darn Redhawk

Shot the m&p9c I got for my bday. I LOVE THIS GUN... I've never owned the bigger m&ps only the shields. I shot 400 rounds 200 Remington brownbox military and leo 115g ammo, 50 Remington 115 gr green and whitebox, 100 federal brass 115 gr, and 50 147 gr Winchester JHP. No stoppages and the gun was handling it like a champ, literally just cleaned it up a few minutes ago. The Redhawk came along to... I had been using hogues grips which are too big for me, I went back to the original grips and they're too small since it's the roundbutt I havent seen any makers offer the style I'd be wanting ( Jordan style or combat style) so I'm going to bite the bullet and order the Tyler T grip and hope that fills the void. Also had issues with Winchester whitebox .45 ammo getting light primer strikes. I haven't even had that issue with Tula in this gun.

The M&P9c is a fantastic gun IMO (I own two). You will likely not have any issues with yours if mine are anything to judge the type by. I did have the triggers on both of mine worked on and it was definitely worth the money. No corrosion issues or damage and my M&Ps are used frequently with minimal maintenance.

I likely won't have the trigger worked on, it won't be a "race" gun or anything but I'm glad yours are running well. I do however want the slide cerakoted red.

I highly think it's the ammo. It's never had light strikes with any other brand including Tula and aluminum.

I had a gen 4 26, it was a good gun and reliable through 3k rounds BUT I'm of the opinion that the Europeans do not have normal hands hence why Gaston designed the grip as it is. The Smith and Wesson gives me a much more ergonomic grip while not giving up reliability, better stock sights and it's not a bad looker either.
