9mm, full size, single stack, accessory rail

Many 1911's with a rail. That is the first thing I think of when you say single stack full size.

Edit, sorry, missed the "rail" so the 3606 is out
The rail requirement on a single stack does limit options. I thought I had a good recommendation all lined up, but not being that familiar with the SIG line-up, and assuming they all had rails, I was going to include the SIG P225, but when I went to grab the link I realized they don't put a rail on the P225.

Thanks everyone. I'll see if I can find a 9mm 1911 that fits my hand. I have a sig 226x5 and, yes it was expensive ($2200 or so) . It has a double stack 17 round magazine and, is too thick for my hand. Furthermore, the trigger is not all that good. I may have the trigger re-worked. A Sig p210 with a rail would be ideal. I may have to drill and tap or use epoxy to mount a rail. I tend to favor epoxy, but removing epoxy without damaging the gun finish is problematic. Has anyone done it?

LoL at SA and their "zones"... Accessories zone...

Gun companies and their silly marketing gimmicks. Like the new Sig M17 AMMO! So much better than regular 124+ ammo!

Anyway, the railed 1911 is the best I can think of with your requirements.

You may want to look at the Ruger SR9 as an option, it is a double stack but they are quite thin and feel much like a single stack to me, thinner than some, in fact.

Thanks for all the info. I think the best course is a P210, a mount, and epoxy. If epoxy damages the finish, so be it. The suggested Kahr is DAO, not suitable for target work. Also, it only weighs 18 oz so would not be much fun to shoot.

It's a free country, you do you. That said, if this is a gun that might every be carried you may wish to consider a holster before going forward with that plan. A quality one could be hard to find.

Good point.

Chances are good finding a holster for a SIG P210 is not that easy. Finding one for a P210 with an add on rail would be nearly impossible, unless you can give your gun directly to the holster maker.
