Sitting here snowbound and seeing that another snow storm is headed my way. I was wondering what fun indoor gun related things everyone does. I already reloaded enough ammo for uspsa and steel challenge for this summer. Getting kinda tired of the sirt laser.

Get the guns out, Strip and clean, then polish and wax and lube as needed. Have great looking firearms.. Feels good to look at them after and know they are in tip top condition and ready to go!

Like exbrit49 suggested: start spring cleaning a little earlier than usual. Sure beats cabin fever and gets everything ready to go by the time nicer weather gets here!

I cast as well. While I don't smelt wheel weights indoors, I will cast in my shop, using clean lead that has already been fluxed.
So I will do a lot of casting and lubing during the winter months.

Inventory your ammo, cleaning supplies, and batteries (for lights/sights/etc.) to see if you're low on anything (or if you've got anything tucked away in a drawer you forgot about).

Pull out any "safe queens" and give them a lube job.

Any stocks that you'd like to see another finish on? When I got my Rossi 92, the finish was, well, almost no finish. I took it down and applied several coats, sanding between each, going finer and finer each time until I'd filled all the pores and it looked great. Wait, you said fun things. lol

I was glad it was done and very happy with the results, so there is that.

Buying another gun is always fun.

I like to go to indoor ranges and shoot but I like fun and challenging targets, not the normal black circle or silhouette targets.

............ That's pretty much what I'm doing this winter. Even the "safe queens" and any gun that hasn't been used in 6 months gets a semi-annual check up and wipe down. There's a log book so I know when they're due. Also picked up a Henry single shot in .308 in January and still deciding on a scope and which mount and rings to use.

Thanks for the pellet gun reminder..... Been shooting my .22 cal. Benjamin Trail by Crosman pretty regular this winter. Targets are squirrels on the suet feeder my wife puts out for the birds. Except I'm not allowed to actually shoot "our" squirrels even though they are still in season. My job is to scare them away and that means aiming for the top of the pole the suet feeder hangs on. I stay indoors in our sun room on the back of the house and open the sliding door about 6 inches and stick the muzzle out. Scares the heck out of them when that 14.6 gr. pellet hits the metal pole about 6 inches above them. It may be February but I still get to do some shooting. It's all done offhand, standing, so it's actually good practice, lol.

We're getting another foot tomorrow. Ive already cleaned lubed and waxed everything. My plan is to inventory reloading supplies

Shoot wax bullets with primered cases. Super simple. Cheap, and easy fun. Don’t know that I’d do it at midnight, or inside. But during the day, in the garage or barn....no problem.

I don't know what to say other than that very reason is why I relocated to SW Florida. I wont say anything derogatory about being up north other than Mother nature is denied down here.

When home, I like nothing better than spending time in my gun room (my wife always snickers when I call it that) upstairs. It is there where old hunts are remembered and new ones are planned. I reload, maintain my guns, sharpen knives, surf the web and sort through shooting/hunting gear. I have multiple bookcases within the room filled with history, firearms, reloading and hunting volumes so I rarely run out of reading material. I took the day off yesterday and stayed home. With my favorite music playing and the rain tapping on the window I readied my gear for this weekend's pig hunt and soda can shoot. It is also at these times I decide my gear is totally inadequate so I fire up the computer as well as my imagination and look for things that I really don't need but wouldn't mind owning (my wife rarely snickers at this).
