I got this one a couple of days ago. I'd tried to ignore it. I need another 4", 357 like I need a hole in my head and this one was an "off brand" to boot.
But I finally caved in.
Ruger Security-Six, from 1975. No warning barrel, which finally tipped the beam when I realized that. It also has a fantastic trigger. The fact that it was about 1/2 the cost of a similar condition Model 19 in the next case didn't hurt it either.
I had the opportunity to take it to the range earlier today. As expected it was a blast to shoot. I don't measure groups or anything, but I didn't shoot it any worse than I do any other gun. I put 50 rounds of my moderate 357/125 Berry's plated through it. The Ruger target grips might be a tad to small for my hand, but I doubt I'll change them. They look good, and I don't usually shoot 357 ammo anyway. I've got coffee cans full of 38's.
Oh, just kidding about the "off brand." Put those pitchforks and torches down.
