Go-To Source For Steel Targets?

I suppose I'm a little frugal, but nice size old cast iron pans are really cheap at rummage sales, and they even have a hole in the handle for hanging up. It's a red neck thing here that works quite well.
 
I don't think I really need the 5/8" thickness but since it is cheaper than the other thicknesses it is hard to not buy it. Only going to use them at 200 yards for .223, 7.62x39 and .308 calibers so the 3/8" or the 1/2" would be enough for what I need but the lower cost is tempting.

I guess my post was totally ignored. So why can’t you just go to a local steel supplier and get AR500 and AR550 steel for next to nothing,,,,,,I doubt that I’ve ever paid more than ten dollars for as much as I can carry,

I wonder if our local steel supplier has AR 500. I need to check.

I have never seen AR500 at the supplier I go to, I'll ask next time.
It's so hard, I don't think the common tools I have will touch it...How do you drill into it or cut it into shapes?
If I need carbide cutting tools/a torch/a plasma cutter, I wouldn't be able to use AR500 steel remnants.

The guys at the steel supplier are always eager to cut to size and shape for me....usually at no cost....Though occasionally I will have a pizza delivered to them along with some beer.

Whatever works.....I’ve gotten a lot of good target steel, and made some good friends in the process....
I let one guy, and only one hunt turkeys and deer on a rural piece of property I own.. He treats it like his own, and doesn’t share (which is good), and he bring smoked fish, venison,,, other treats all the time.

Way too many "guys" where I get steel, to buy pizza/beer for...
I'd have to send over a truck load,

There are loads of guys at the steel yard I go too,, I focused first on the guys that could get me the right steel,,,learned what they could do,,,,and then treated them.....They give me more steel, and then guys in other areas of the steel yard want to know how they get free pizza and beer.....so another guy offered to make a ‘drag’ for my driveway,,,,,,another guy wants to buy my extra trailer.... what goes around comes around... another guy thinks I need a better frame to hang my targets on.....sure the pizza and beer is going to cost more,,,but hey, it’s worth it.
