I have not shot any handguns for many weeks now, only shooting has been a little bit of 6MM Creedmoor, but I finally got to the range (Was 200 yards away when work called, but they left me alone long enough to go back)

I mostly shot .32 ACP.

I shoot the Beretta 81 the best, the PT-132 next, with the the CZ 83 close behind, and then the 1903. I really like the FN 1922, but it is simply harder to shoot well with its heavy trigger. I used 1x readers to help me see the sights.

First 40 shots (10 from each pistol) on a 10" steel plate set at 29 paces. Hit it 27 times. Missed 5 of 10 with the 1922. Started off well, but then missed the last four. *Sigh*

I also shot a couple of mags through my P-365 which was again boringly reliable and very accurate.

And I couldn't go to the range and not bring a revolver. The plate was not nearly challenging enough for it using the red dot sight, so I shot small objects on the berm with it.

It felt good to get out and shoot some handguns, it has been too long. So busy. :)

I know the feeling; just so many things going on with the kids (a graduation and a wedding), and grandkids that I really don't have the time to get to the range anymore.

And I agree with NIGHTLORD40K: one of your .32s looks more like an FN Model 1910/1922 than it does a Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless!

Love the 586 too, but a red dot.....borderline Heresey! Call the Inquisition......
I would have wholeheartedly agreed when I was younger and could still see open sights very crisply. *Sigh* But these days I really appreciate that i can shoot to my potential again with a red dot.

Adapt, improvise.........

I would love to have a 1903, maybe it was a Freudian thing.

Ahhh, wouldn't we all...

I did have a Browning Model 1910/55 some years back. A beautifully made .380; just difficult to shoot accurately with those next to almost being non-existent "sights".

Glad to hear another old guy like me that enjoys getting the vintage 32acp guns out for some fresh air and exercise. Thanks for sharing that report and the photos. I have a number of European war time 32acps and two Colt 1903s. I seem to shoot the Colts more accurately. I have to paint the front sights with florescent orange to be able to see those dinky things. But I get so much enjoyment from shooting them. To keep ammo costs down I reload that caliber.

A 32 ACP day, cool. I got a new Beretta 81 a year or two ago, I really should get it out and shoot it. Maybe this will spur me into action.

I used 1x readers to help me see the sights.

Since my cataract surgery, I've had to use readers to shoot handguns well. I'm at 1.5x. I guess using readers as I age beats the alternative.

That Benelli is a great looking gun!
I have fired a total of ONE .32 round in my life, and that was a .32 Auto Winchester Silvertip many moons ago in Johannesburg. I feel I am missing out, but no hope to remedy that in the UK.

At one point I had six .32acp pistols, but, as luck would have it they were all unrepentent jammers- and I wont keep an unreliable pistol. Finally, after removing the loaded chamber indicator, my Manurhin PP actually runs pretty good. My Dad's .32 Ruby also seems to digest just about anything you feed it, but, overall I have not had good luck with this caliber.:(

You should, it's a great little gun. I bought it off GB and had never held one, man was I pleased after taking it to the range.
Pretty sure those were only ever sold in South American markets, kinda like the .380 full-size Glocks. Does it say "Imported by....." anywhere on it?
Pretty neat though!

Why no .32s in the UK?

The handgun ban in the 90s took those out.
You can have a "handgun" but it must meet barrel length and overall length requirements.

What you end up with is a carbine boasting a coat hanger for a brace. Those are typically .22LR, .357 or .44 guns.
