Glock 19 holster for multiple styles of carry

The kydex pancake is the most common dual purpose holster.

I have a Raven Concealment (now RCS Gear) Phantom that's no longer produced, but there are still several companies making the design. They give you the option to raise or lower the ride height, change the cant, and you can use both OWB loops and IWB loops.

In leather, Simply Rugged's Cuda and DEFCON 3 can both be worn OWB, strong side and cross draw, or IWB. They can also be worn as a chest holster with a set of straps.

Ive never used this specific model, but have used a number of their holsters over the years, and they have all been first rate. I wouldnt hesitate to buy from them.

I still have the first IWB holster I got off them for my Colt Commander when they first showed up back in the 90's, and used it daily for over 10 years, and its still as serviceable as the day I bought it. They were the first choice for my SIG's and Glocks as I switched through things. Their Ambi Klipt is one of my favorites for AIWB with the Glocks these days.

This may not be the quality that you seek, but Tagua offers a 4-in-1 that I like.

It exists but it'll be a compromise. A holster is a very specialized item. IMO, it's not worth having one that can do multiple carry methods in a half assed manner but none of them well. Just get a few different holsters that do their respective jobs well.

The advantage to something like the Raven Concealment Phantom, especially as a first holster, is you can try OWB and IWB and different cants, with one holster to help you define what works best for you, so you can buy the dedicated holster that is closest to your preference.

Otherwise, you have to go through IWB high ride, low ride, neutral cant, more cant, OWB, high ride, low ride, neutral cant, more cant, and that's a lot of holsters just to figure out what you like. With one holster you could figure out what you like, then buy a second, dedicated holster that does what you like.

All my talk about RCS Gear reminded me they have their new holster, the Perun. While not listed as IWB capable (I'm surprised they don't offer that option yet - looks like it could be used with IWB loops), it can be worn OWB on the left side or right side, and you can change the cant and ride height a little with included attachments.

Something else to consider too, for the slight difference in length between the 17 and 19, you might as well just buy a 17 holster. The 19's and 26's work in them just as well, and just adds to the versatility.

The advantage to the 17 length holsters for something like a 26 in the AIWB spot is, they help keep the gun in place and stop the tendency for the gun to roll over the top when you bend forward.

Most of the kydex holsters Ive owned dont have a completely open bottom, so a 17 in a 19 holster might need some trimming at the bottom. Or, just get a specific holster.

I tend to agree with bearcreek on buying holsters for a specific use. Im not a fan of switching things up either, guns or holsters.

In the case of the Glocks though, with different models being able to use the same holster, some holsters can work very well for more than one use.

You really need to have a IWB holster for IWB carry and a OWB holster for OWB carry to conceal well.

The holster in your op is not ideal. Very few people carry small of back and for good reason. I consider that option a gimmick. The worst part imo is that the clip is mounted directly on top of the gun. This will make the whole package thick.

Are you attempting to find a "do all" to save money?
