I've had this shotgun for 18 years. Paid $75 for it new. I shoot a box or two of shells a year through it. It is a kicker thats for sure. But it's simple, reliable and its cool looking I think. Any shotgunners have and shhot one?

I very much enjoy keeping things light and simple.
I also hunt with a NEF slug gun, a .204 rifle, and a. 3006 rifle.

I don't have an NEF but I do have a Savage 220 12 gauge break open and I know about the stiff recoil. I put a Limbsaver slip-on pad on mine and it made a world of difference. They claim up to 70% recoil reduction. I don't have a way to measure it but prior to using it after 6 to 8 rounds I'd had enough for that day. After installing the slip-on pad I can now go thru the entire box of 25 rounds and am ready for more. They are inexpensive, easy to put on or take off and for me they worked.

I'm a sissy so I prefer a 20 gauge H&R for my knockabout gun.
