I'm looking to put one of these on my Glock 19 MOS for CCW and range fun. I'm torn. I'm a buy once, cry once guy, but the price on the RMR is stout. Anyone with experience with both of these that can tell me what I'll be missing out on if I go with the Venom?

My head is telling me the Venom will more than meet my needs but my heart, which coincidentally controls my wallet all too often, is telling me to go all out for the Trijicon.

I'm running a Vortex Venom on one of my G19's, and had it replaced by Vortex already. I am a Vortex fan, and their scopes and rifle red dots are pretty solid, but I'm as yet unsold on this optic of carry.

But I bought the Venom on price and knowing that, no matter what, I could put it on my .22LR AR. And I wanted to see if I liked the red dot on a pistol.

For now, the replacement is working okay. No complaints with Vortex customer service.

But now that I know I want a red dot on a carry gun, I don't know how long I'll keep the Venom only Glock. In
the end, I will most likely either buy a Trijicon SRO or a Leupold Deltapoint Pro.

Buy the Venom and spend the extra $300 on ammo, or magazines, or a backup gun. Are you really going to be racking your G19 on concrete block walls? Or dragging it through the mud?
