What gun have you never had the chance to shoot but would love to?

This thread's genesis was my post about my Dad shooting the Thompson for the PD back in the 60's. I stated that I wished I'd gotten a chance to shoot one. In the US Army I got to shoot M-16's, 1911's, M-60's, M-203's, etc.
Speaking here strictly of non-NFA weapons, are there any guns out there that you just haven't had the opportunity to shoot that you'd love to pull the trigger on a few times?
For me, of course, the Thompson. Don't really wanna own one, just make it go bang for, say, at least one box of ammo.
 
I just need to find time to shoot the dozens I own that I have not yet shot. Every one of them was bought to be shot, but many have not yet been.
Maybe after that, I could think of some "itch" that shooting all these didn't scratch.
 
I’ve had the opportunity to shoot some pretty cool full autos at various machine gun shoots, and yes the Tommy is very fun. Personally I’d like to fire one of the “super” magnums like a 500 Smith or one of the Linebaugh cartridges. Don’t really want to own one since 44 mag covers anything I’m going to hunt, but would like to experience it.
 
Something in .50 BMG,
of course a 155mm might be fun too, and while it is a gun, I sort of but it in the cannon group.

I'd like to shoot a nice double rifle sometime, preferably one chambered in 375 H&H, or some other classic African hunting cartridge - as long as it wasn't a real hard kicker. I'm not a masochist, I just like how double rifles with large bores look.:)
 
Non-NFA...Hmmmm

I would love to shoot a Holland & Holland double rifle in .416 Rigby or maybe one of the .470 or .500 Nitro Express just once. Mostly just to say I did.
 
Non-NFA... I’d like to shoot something semi custom to custom. Maybe something like a Les Baer (or any other upper end 1911). Or maybe target rifle built for longer ranges. Or maybe an English double rifle in a safari cartridge.

As for NFA, I’ve had the pleasure to be behind a M16, AC556, and a MAC. Technically it’s not NFA, but their price it might as well be... I’d love to shoot a Gatlin in .45-70.

I've shot my share of submachine guns but one that I never got to try was a WW2 Russian PPSh. I'm hoping to find one for rent at a range someday.

While at Ft Carson I periodically participated in the post's retreat flag lowering at 5pm. We had a little field piece that one of us would put a dummy round in wait til the lowering colors just touched the receiving soldier's hand and you yanked the little rope trigger and bang. The flag was lowered, folded and put away for the next day. The entire time it was happening the retreat music played over the huge loudspeakers on top of the headquarters building and all traffic stopped post-wide.
So one day we had sleeting, freezing rain. Ice all over the ground. We carefully baby stepped our way to the flagpoles and I managed to get the frozen breech open for the dummy round. Didn't think that if the breech was frozen shut that the trigger mechanism would probably not function as well. Got to that pivotal moment and yanked the rope and...... nothing. I kicked the mechanism for a few minutes while the lowering flag tableau behind me was getting wetter and colder by the second. Finally it went bang and we proceeded to baby step our way back to the waiting vehicles when I heard "Specialist!" Looked over and in the archway, protected from the weather was the post CSM.
I went over and said "Yes, Top." figuring I was to get one severe dressing down for abusing the field piece. CSM said "Nice improvisation. General's regards. Carry on"

Stationed at Ft. Hood, TX in the military police, we had to raise and lower the post flag every day. Had a small howitzer to pop off blank rounds, the guy firing the gun was supposed to check the bore for obstructions/trash but he didn't. Someone had stuffed a dead cat in the breech and when it was fired there was cat innards all over the place.
As far as a firearm I'd like to shoot, I was in a gun shop this morning and they had a Freedom Arms revolver in 45-70. It had what looked to be a 12" barrel but I would bet that it has considerable recoil. I've shot a S&W 500 but was a bit surprised at the recoil, I didn't find it to be very bad at all.

The reason us MP's at Carson got the gig was we had 4th Inf Div there and the 1-9 Air Cav rotating the flag duty. Not sure who did it to who, but someone on one side or the other of the rivalry between those two filled the little field piece with toilet paper which got blown all over the parade field in front of headquarters. Next week us MP's suddenly had the duty.

A couple dozen years ago a crazy friend (RIP Tony) had a 45-70 barrel made for his TC Contender.
Fired it once.
I was good with that.
 
Thompson SMG.

But one used in St Valentines Day Massacre, or, preferably, used on Omaha Beach, IWO, or in liberating one of the camps.
 
I passed up a chance to buy a Browning BPCR rifle in 45-70 for a great price. Lobbing those 405 gr bullets at 200 yard steel gongs sure looked like fun when I saw a guy doing that at a range.
 
Non-NFA is tricky, as I've lit off pretty much all I'd ever care to along those lines.

Ok, maybe an Accuracy International in .338lap, but, that's about it. Hmm, well, maybe a Desert Tech in 5.56 would be cool.

And that's off the top of my head.

Most (not all!) of these I've actually handled. Just not shot. Free reign over a good arms room nowhere near a range is sort of a terrible thing.
 
I'd like to shoot a Lemat revolver, a Johnson M1941 rifle, 30 carbine blackhawk (I know 2 guys who have them, we just never shot it), and I guess that's it. I've shot most NFA/military stuff out there, but there are a few I would still like to try.
 
I've sometimes wondered what shooting a Newton rifle would be like. I know they're really just an early bolt action, but they were made in my hometown.
ETA the model 1916s were, but it would still be cool to shoot any of them.
