When you pack next time there will be a nice list so you don't forget anything when you are leaving. Trust me on this.

The nice thing about Google keep is the checklist is permanent and can be added to and reset for future trips

Oh and the secret to cooking is cook over coals, not fire.

In all the years I have camped we never did cooking on the fire because of snow and rain. We learned yesterday cooking on coals was the best idea. Thanks for the checklist idea.

I wish we put the tents in the bags or stuff sacks instead of totes for room saving. I wish we have a taller/bigger tent. I wish we let the fire die and cooked on coals. Less misc stuff that wasn't needed.

She says she had a blast. I was worried about the rain, mud and bugs but she was ok with everything.

Oh and we checked out the free camping spots along the river and lets just say you couldn't pay me to camp there. I have nothing against Amish but I grew up hearing they aren't the most trust worthy and watch them around the woman. We headed to the free sites and there was a lot of Amish just hanging out, camping, etc. What I didn't like was how there was 8-10 guys just sitting in the pavilions and no horse, no buggy, etc anywhere around. We got out to walk around and they were just staring at us as we walked around. Made the GF feel very uncomfortable.

I honestly didn't mind the golf cart patrols. I saw them maybe 5 times in the two nights. They mostly parked and listened for people screaming after 11pm. Most the time they were around the group camp areas where 5-6 tents are together. The Dan thing was a little annoying only because there were children in adjacent campsites. If I was a parent I wouldn't have been too pleased with all the "noise" coming from Dan's Girlfriend. I think that was more of a show for Dan's buddies in the campsite next to them. The car alarm was some brat kid with even dumber parents. I honestly couldn't believe they allowed her to keep pushing the alarm button. At 6am she was slamming the door to the porta jon about 30 times because there was a bug in there, while her dad stood there watching her.

The pro's were the sites, showers, toilets were very clean and having the nice, new picnic tables was nice too. Not hearing some drunk screaming at the top of his lungs because the golf cart patrols was nice too. I stayed one time at a state park and they let anyone do whatever they want. I prefer the pull off and camp but for her I had to make some exceptions. Compared to this places primitive sites I'll deal with golf cart patrol.
