Hello from Central Illinois!
As I was searching the interwebs for various bits of reloading information, I found that this site popped up near the top with answers or discussions about my very question, so I decided that this was the place for me..

I'm new to reloading and fairly new to firearms ownership actually. I shot several of my grandfather's guns as a kid, but it was never a frequent hobby. My grandfather left me a few of his favorites before he passed, and I made getting them back in working order a priority. Then after deer hunting with my father in law and brother in law (a 3 day trip that I joked about probably not coming back from) and bagging my my first deer with a borrowed shotgun. I decided I needed my own. That was when I was bitten by the bug. I have since bought a sccy cpx2 for a house gun ,and an Extar EP9 and Glock 40 for fun.
Since I am raising a family, I have less funds that I would like to expand my collection. But I am keeping a rainy day fund, for my next purchase.

PS For anyone who might have read my first post in "what did you do in your reloading room today?", My avatar pic is the organizer I designed and built for my reloading bench. It's kinda crude and needs some stain, but I came out just as I designed it.
Welcome!
We all started at some point.
As for your reloading organizer, functional trumps pretty every time.

Hello, I joined this forum back in 2013. I read posts here all the time, but I have never posted anything. Ever. Until now. I'm not much for idle chatter.

Greetings from Virginia.

I've never been a member of gun forums, but after anti-gun crackdowns on everything but old school forums and discord, I decided I'd sign up and see what kinds of chat I can do here.

About Me:

Mid-20s Portuguese-American from Virginia
I have family that is involved in the gun business and have been a decent fan of firearms for the last decade or so
I own a variety of mostly vintage bolt-actions, one handgun, and one semi-auto rifle I bought recently

I have a decent amount of knowledge in areas of Japanese and Chinese weapons, I didn't graduate college but I did go for engineering so I know a decent amount on those areas. My language skills help with deciphering old documents about Chinese and Japanese guns.

Yes, I play Girls Frontline; and no, I'm not ashamed! IMI Negev is pretty cute, and the Israel aesthetics are quite nice.

Hello everyone,
New to the forum, looking to get some advice and any experience related to a few projects I’m trying to get off the ground.

Hello everyone. I'm from South Africa. Just bought my first gun - a Glock 19 Gen5. However, due to strict licencing regulations here, I have not yet taken ownership. Hope to join competition shooting as well when the budget allows. My son is 11 years old and also interested in guns; hope to start him soon

HI all! I Joined to get some tips and advice about reloading. I’m doing my due diligence by researching and talking with others that have been doing this for a while, BEFORE making any “I wish I should of” moments. I just ordered the Lyman 50th edition and Hornady 10th edition and will start reading when they get here. I’m thinking of getting a progressive press for pistol and maybe a hand press for rifle loads (I don’t shoot rifle too much except for hunting season.)

Hello Everyone from Asheboro NC.
Bought my first gun when I was 15 years old from a hardware store. That was when you could buy a handgun or long gun almost anywhere with no hassle. Stevens 410 single shot. I'm old and retired now. Don't hunt anymore. Don't shoot much anymore. But I still love my guns. Never had much money so I could never afford the expensive guns. But that never mattered much. My favorite hunting gun, Rimington 700 30 06. I bought mine in 1975 for $179. Still have it and will never let it go. My favorite shooting gun, 1965 Winchester 30 30 lever action. I know, I know. Some say its the worst gun winchester ever made. But I say, its going on 55 years old and still works perfect. Never had to replace any part. Never had it fail in anyway. Not one. My wife killed her first deer with it. One shot about 15 years ago. I don't have a carry permit and don't want one. Never felt I need to carry. It's a big responsibility to carry. The way I think, If you don't feel the need why take risk. Anyway, Hello everyone. Happy to be here.

Hi guys, new member from California here. I have a passion for firearms and airguns alike and helped create a new air weapon technology. I’ll post info on that subject soon but for now, thanks for welcoming me to the forums!

Hi my name is Mark Gander and I reside in Paris, TN. Iam a retired NYS employee, and Government as well. Into handguns mainly. Love my barettas.

My name is Randy Johnson. I live in southeastern Indiana. Main interest is muzzleloading with a sub-main interest in flintlocks and a sub sub interest in flintlock smoothbores.
I am researching high end gun safes and it seemed like about 50% or more of the info I was finding was posts on The Highroad. It looked like a good place all round.

Hey there.

JCSC from Columbia SC.

New to the area and joined for advice and any local info.

Interest include reloading, shooting, hunting and fishing.

Long time lurker who finally joined here. My firearm interests are quite varied. Had my C&R for a while and love the history of milsurps and other classics. I’m an LEO from central IL and currently have started collecting old service weapons, and have come to appreciate the old S&W revolvers and autos.

Lots of good info here and glad to finally join.

Hello.
Finally signed up. Have enjoyed reading a few threads here over the years. I grew up in Wisconsin hunting whitetail and grouse. I have been living in New Mexico since 1991 with a stint in the People’s Republic of California in between. Now I hunt all sorts of western game. When I’m lucky enough to draw a tag that is. Love the medium bores.

Love muzzleloading and the 45-70 Katadhin 20". I live and hunt in Northern Idaho; whitetails, elk, wolves, bears and turkeys. I am 68 years old.

New member. Hope for a good stay here. Originally from Ridgewood, New Jersey.

Carry daily and am partial to the Glock 26, 9mm. A fine gun that I have trusted since 2003. Also have the Glock 36, .45 ACP, which I carry for lonely trailwalks.

Quite comforting .

Another new guy, OldTengu here. Same name on Northwest firearms forum, and Southwest firearms forum as well. Here mostly for networking, but want to get started reloading and handloading as well. Looking to join groups that are organized in support of 2a and the prepping lifestyle.
Thanks for having me.
