Resized_received_520961535318132.jpg IMG_14181.jpg This thread is similar to the 2019-2020 hunting pics thread except these are trail cam pics to help get excited about the upcoming season. Here in Michigan bow season starts Oct. 1 and gun starts Nov. 15. The first pic is Southern Michigan and the second is Northern Ohio.
Please post your pics.

Bandit67, those are some dandy bucks.

The pics of the only really nice buck I've seen on my cameras are still in the cameras. A tall wide 9 point in velvet.

Got 5 trail cams out in two different areas and this year I'm not seeing any big bucks. Tons of does and fawns this summer but even smaller bucks seem less numerous. There's one small 6 point buck in the woods next to my house where I may crossbow hunt this season. There's also a couple smaller bucks around that are seen occasionally during the day. If it weren't for trail cams I wouldn't know the 6 point existed. Never seen him in person. Only on trail cams at night. He seems to be a real night owl. Although that could change as we get into fall. 8-15-19 (2).JPG

Nice pics, DM. Especially like your kitty. Bet you had fun releasing him from the trap; I caught a huge domestic Tom in a possum trap one night and even w/welder's gloves releasing was.......let's just say memorable. :what::what:

This guy has been hanging around for a long time, in fact, some time ago I actually caught him in a trap and released him,

Again, no game cam, but here's a couple of favorite bob cat pics.

My favorite passtime is calling coyotes and my favorite sites are near good cat habitat. Cats are special!

Thanks for the responses but I thought there would be a lot more. I'm really interested to see what kind of bucks you are seeing and possibly targeting this year. Bow season is 26 days away.

Don't own a trail cam but these are some favorites taken over the years, will they do?

Love that Pic of the Buck hidden in the Thick Brush just watching!!! That would make for a great Painting. Or just enlarged and framed.

Had I not seen him enter the brush, I would have walked right by him and never known he was there. Makes you wonder how many really nice bucks have learned to stand their ground and are thus never seen. Been a while but as I recall, I was no more than 8-10' away from him. Depth of field w/camera on auto focus and poor light gives you an idea how close we were.

hps

A few years back, myself and a friend were hunting. We got in the car and were going up a hill. Four hunters were walking abreast down a path where there was a open field coming down a hill. We watched as a nice 10 Pointer come out of a thick Brushy area as soon as they passed. Just a causal lope right behind them. Hunters never had a clue. He must have been 10yds behind them.
I have seen so many weird things by them over the years. Nothing ever surprises me anymore. One of the most fascinating creatures on earth.

I was maybe 13/14yo and would walk the RR tracks and bike trails and wonder into the woods looking for deer, tracks, etc. One time I entered a set of woods and was walking around and saw something laying down. I stood there and all of a sudden a buck, probably 140'' stood up not 5ft away.

Another time I was hunting and it was raining and cold so we decided to build a fire and hang out at the camper. I glanced over and here comes a beast walking right down the ATV path 30-40yards away. I was 14yo and grabbed my 12ga slug gun and grunted at him and man did that piss him off. He put his head down as if he was going to charge me and I let one rip! Never heard or saw him walk by. He figured if he was quiet he would slip on by. 2hrs later I was walking around and saw two doe laying on the hillside about 40yards away. I don't think people give them enough credit for smarts and will to live.

I decided to go in blind this year since it's a new lease that have been hunted since the early 2000s. Next year we'll have cameras out.

The old live trapped cat. It's the true definition of spazz. Those are some beautiful cat pics.

Old adage that says, "find the does and you'll find the bucks". Bucks are moving around at night and the does in the daytime. Once the corn gets picked and the rut begins things will change.

Have a lot of deer, but not often do I get this many in one frame. Think I counted nine.
