I just added a couple of Dans to my safe for a total of 4. From top to bottom, I have:
  • Dan Wesson model 15-2V, .357 magnum, with 4" removable, half-lug, vent-rib barrel (I have a 2&1/2" barrel for it as well) & Hogue Pau Ferro smooth grips
  • Dan Wesson model 15-2V, .357 magnum, with 6" removable, half-lug, vent-rib barrel & original walnut target grips
  • Dan Wesson model 22, .22 LR with 6" removable barrel (I also have a 4", full lug, vent rib barrel), and original walnut target grips.
  • Dan Wesson model 738, Li'L Dan, .38 Special +P, with 2&1/2" removable barrel and original rubber grips
Both of the model 15's have the original box & paperwork as well, plus I have barrel wrenches for all 4 revolvers.

Fantastic collection. Thanks for sharing. I'd choose a Dan Wesson over many other revolvers, if you ask me.

Yeah I got a 41V with the 8 inch barrel and a 15v pistol pack and I’m thinking my Dan collection is only going to grow.

Awesome collection! Had a Pistol Pak many years ago but traded it on a Colt Gold Cup. A decent deal and all but I wouldn't mind having that .357 back.

Nice collection! A local pawn shop had two .22 Dan Wesson's with 6" barrels for pretty good prices I'd drool over and kept saying I'd buy them "next time". Well, they sat there for nearly a year, and then both disappeared within 2 weeks. My loss, and next time I know not to wait.

That's how it seems to go so many times for me, too. I look & look & then somebody snatches it up. It's probably a good thing, otherwise, I'd bankrupt us!

Nice I love the Dan Wesson's too
I just haven't found anything else that can match their accuracy except for one strange Smith & Wesson 6-inch I have I don't know the exact model designation of it but it's a scandium possibly airweight all black 357 lightweight hunting pistol gets a 7 shot with a nice red fiber optic front sight.
Now get yourself some more barrels for your 15-2 s.
Only problem is when I started trying to get more barrels for mine ended up finding it was more efficient monetarily to buy a whole nother pistol with the barrel, plus an extra 6 inch barrel a guy had laying around there seem to be a lot of six inch barrels available in the market if you get lucky.
I ended up selling the other Dan Wesson but still ended up with two different length barrels so it worked out great.
I wouldn't mind buying either another 15 to with the 4-inch Barrel like I just sold or even better just a Dan Wesson 4 inch barrel anybody got one???
My 15-2 with the 8 inch barrel is nasty:evil:

The CZ-USA store has nice barrels available for reasonable prices. I have purchased two and they are excellent. Here's a picture of my first 15-2V with the CZ-USA 2&1/2" barrel & Pachmayr presentation grips. I think it looks as good as the original.

I feel like this a personal attack on my lack of Dan Wesson revolvers. You good sir are doing it right.
Well, you better get busy and get one, LOL!

I only have one DW. It's a .44 mag But with the three barrels and shrouds I have with it I have four or five handguns. Best deal ever. Great guns.

I have a DW kit from the 80’s. Interchangeable barrels, the whole works, in the original carry case. Probably the finest piece of machinery I have ever seen...

Any other brand revolver is, well,,,,it’s ‘just a gun”.

Jertex, Your post pushed me over the edge. I just ordered a 4" BA from CZ for my 15-2. Between that and hoarding all the Walmart target ammo I can get my hands on my wife's going to have a heart attack when she sees the credit card bill.:what:
Mu-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! My evil plan is working!

That's a hoot, I'm glad I'm such a good influence on somebody!

You guys gotta stop this, the fine pics had me on gun broker for two hours last night. Out here in the peoples republic of Komiefornia. I'm not even sure if I'm allowed to order one online.

IMG_0351_LI.jpg Jertex, that's a fine a looking revolver as I've ever seen. Great photography. If you keep showing these DWs off the best kept secret in the used revolver market won't be a secret anymore.;) Update: My 4" barrel arrived today from CZ and I agree they do look great. Now with two barrels and one gun I'm fighting the urge to find a frame to put one on. It kind of defeats the purpose of changeable barrels though. It never ends....

Beautiful peices. Everyone's grips look so good! I've had a tough time finding original style grips for my DW. Mine are a bit beat up and I'm not handy enough to fix them.
