I need help trying to find an EDC gun

I purchased a P365 TacPac a couple of weeks ago. I have become quite fond of it and look forward to putting it in the carry rotation. I’ll be using a minimalist-style IWB holster that covers the trigger guard and body side of the gun. Sweet setup.

Lol, In reality, even with all the new guns introduced, the gun I will actually carry the most is the Beretta Pico and the Kahr CW380. Nothing really changes for me. By the way, you can now get magguts that add one more round to the 7 rd magazine of the very light weight and well built Kahr CM9. Best in class in weight, size.

I am a huge Glock fan and my single stack 9mm of choice is the Shield. It has a more comfortable grip than the Glock 43 and the barrel is shorter. The length of the Glock 43 kept me from being able to pocket carry it but I can pocket carry the Shield no problem. It's also nice to carry IWB. Plus they have $50 rebates going right now. PSA has them for $259. That makes it just over $200. There's not a better $200 gun on the market in my opinion. I've owned a bunch of Shields and every single one has been 100% reliable.

I am 6’2 and 195 and have a relatively athletic build
I'm late to the party and it sounds like you already bought a Glock 43. But I wanted to mention I'm of similar dimensions and understand your position. I'm 6'3" and 202 lbs. Guns I've found to be good shooters with my XL hands are the original XDs with the largest backstrap (the trigger reach is what I like about that gun). Carried that IWB for several years. The P365 shot well for me when I rented one, and would carry nicely. I've switched to a Sig P938 Legion for summer carry as I shoot it well, it holds more ammo than my XDs-45, and the magazine pinky extension and magazine funnel allow me to get a full grip. My XDs is now a hiking and biking gun only.

In winter when I'm wearing heavier clothing I carry an HK P30SK with night sights and a LEM trigger. With the largest backstrap and largest sized right size side panel, I get a hand filling grip and 11 rounds. Though new offerings like the P365 and Hellcat hold the same or more ammo and are smaller. Once I can compare those two, my P30SK may get traded in. But I suspect I'll just keep it anyway.
You don't need to change guns, just buy a shirt one size up.
If the OP has a similar body shape to mine, where your shoulders are significantly wider than your hips, buying a larger shirt is a little problematic, especially for warmer months. It works with pants for IWB carry when combined with a good gun belt, but what I've found is a larger shirt looks like hell, because it's then just draped off my shoulders and billowing around. If I buy a size large shirt, I look fairly presentable, as is necessary for work. If I go to an XL, I look like a slob.

I know personal safety trumps appearance, but it seems with many smaller and midsized guns available folks like the OP can afford to look at smaller guns. That's just an opinion though and I'm not trying to start a "Everyone needs to carry a full size gun and dress around it." debate. It's just something people of our particular shape encounter when buying clothing.
