BTW, my other option is the CZ Shadow 2.
I can’t speak for the Sig except to say the one I handled felt great in the hand, though I was fondling one with the fantastic target grips.

My Shadow 2 is a great shooter and suits me so well I’m planning to pick up a TSO also.

However between the Sig and Shadow 2, you are talking DA/SA, double stack, and built for gun game competition, vs a single stack SAO gun meant for more bullseye type shooting.

The Shadow 2 has a great trigger out of the box, but the Sig’s is better. Makes sense based on the different application.

Looking for an all-around range gun. I may have to sell one or two out of my small collection

Was thinking about doing the same thing but the gun got sold before I could make it to the LGS. Would do the deal if they ever get another one in.

Let us know which one you decide to go with.

Here is a review of the P210 American that may help. It is an incredibly accurate gun capable of 1/2 groups at 25 yards with a great trigger out of the box.

An independent user review reflects the same even with cheap range ammo.

These days I only shoot at local indoor range and for me the P210 American would be my choice and it is also a really sweet looking pistol.

My Handgun collection consists of the following: Sig P229 Nitron, H&K VP9, CZ P07, CZ 75D-PCR, and a Ruger Wrangler. Now, which one(s) to dump?

I would choose the CZ Shadow (or Tactical Sport) over the P210A. I have several Swiss P210s, and they are by far my favorite range pistols, so I am admittedly biased and a bit of purist.

While I have no doubt the P210 American is a nice pistol, I'm not fond of the change to the SIG Sauer lockup system, even though I do like it on my P226s. I also have concerns about how long the P210A will be supported by SIG Sauer. P210A owners on the SIG Sauer forums have complained of difficulty in obtaining replacement parts like recoil springs (something that generally does not need to be replaced on the Swiss version).

I would think the CZ would enjoy much better factory and aftermarket support.

Opinions needed. Looking for an all-around range gun. I may have to sell one or two out of my small collection. Anyway, looking for some honest advice.

I don't have first-hand experience, only wanted to buy one. By all accounts, the performance of the new American P210 is outstanding. However, 2 things are holding me back: there is no path to optics and the magazine capacity is too small. So, for me it would be more of a conversation piece than an all-around range gun, due to the rules at local competitions.

In the $1,300 budget frame, I'd also look at something like Beretta 92X Peformance, Archon Type B, Walther Q5 SF.

The gun is sharp and is a clone of the Swiss army pistols but with superior American controls.

I would get the P210. But I am one content with a muzzleloading black powder revolver as an “all around range gun”, so I clearly do not feel the need for a massive magazine capacity.
