This is from the Beretta European site. More mags might be on the way. Then again maybe not. It's hard to tell. Beretta over there seems to be charging high prices for those. I do hope more mags come in. I was signed up for the e-mail availability of those as well and by a little after 12:10 p.m. those were gone.

I bought a new Beretta Model 81 a couple years ago and got some new magazines at that time. I guess I should feel fortunate.

I have a Beretta Model 84 (380 ACP) purchased in the early 1980s that has been a great handgun. I do not shoot it much these days as it has seen lots of service over the years and is showing its signs of use.

The Model 81 should provide as good of service as I have seen with the Model 84.

Classic has surplus magazines. Limited to 2 per order. Just ordered mine.

I think I just ordered one from them. Website is screwy, says pending FFL verification.

I really blew it. Guy at local gunshow had a nice 81 (not a recent beat up one, but a one-owner, rarely shot) for $350 this weekend and I didn't grab it. "No papers" no less. If my wife hadn't been at the show.....I might have snuck it home.

That'll learn ya. Women-folk need to go shoe shopping while the men are at a gun show.

try Robertsons Trading Post - they have M84 mags reworked for the M81 - reports of users have been positive

Classic arms just got a shipment of magazines in for the 81!

They're $199.95 at J&G if you want one. The two I got there were in very good shape.

And even though I have one, if I wasn't broke, I'd get another, they are superb little guns. I did order an extra mag, dang shame they are nearly 25% as much as the surplus pistol. :)

The surplus 81 mags are hitting the market now. Classics has them for $34.95 https://www.classicfirearms.com/beretta-mag-model-81-32-caliber-12-round/ I spoke with Dan of Dan Ammo in PA who handles a lot of the PW Arms import stuff and is my go to guy for all PW Import surplus guns and he will have mags in stock sometime next week I believe.

I was able to get hooked up with a nice 81 from Dan for $239 plus reasonable shipping. https://www.dansammo.com/firearms.asp These are guns hand picked by Dan. Here are a few pics of mine.

That's part of the reason I got a second one. If I want a spare magazine and can get the whole gun for 150 more, why not? Now I have an organ donor, just in case.

I forget who I got my extra 81 mag from recently, but it is nearly new looking and ran flawlessly the other day, just like the one that came with the gun.

Classic Firearms has used 81 mags in stock as of this morning - I bought two. Note that their limit is "two per order", but they have no limit on the number of orders you can make. Beretta, as of this morning also, has new mags for the 81 in stock. After I missed getting any from their last shipment, I called to ask when/if they were getting more. They told me then that they had "plenty" on order, and didn't expect to run out once they arrived.
