Cheaper Than Dirt has free shipping this weekend with no minimum order. I have never ordered from them before. Has anyone had any bad or good experience ordering from them?

I considered them a bunch of times but always found better deals elsewhere. After the gouging mess I tried to give them a chance, but every time I looked at their stuff the prices were 5-10% over other sources. I have yet to buy from CTD. I do hear that their shipping is slow though.

what are you wanting that you may find a better deal on?

I don't usually order from them due to their prices but just the other day I ordered some parts I needed that they had cheaper than anyone else. A word of caution: if you order multiple items understand they often store and ship them from different warehouses. This can result in much higher shipping costs.

IDK about the gouging. they at least WERE selling PMAGS for $100 each during the shortage ... What a Deal ! :cuss:

I would never send them my money . I go as far as during a search I make sure the website I’m about to click on is not CTD . I refuse to even visit there site .

I can’t imagine how much money they’ve lost since there gauging do to customers refusing to buy there products . No way they make it up in higher prices .

I'll never buy anything from them!!!! As mentioned before, during the last shortage, they raised prices unbelievably.

From the above posts, I see I'm not alone. I guess we have a long memory, screw us once, no matter how long ago, you don't get a second chance...

When it comes to the 2nd you don’t get a secound chance . In the case of CTD , they don’t get a 3rd or 4th chance . Maybe if it happened once we could forgive and forget. However they’ve done it multiple times even after great outrage . They clearly don’t care about the community.

As far as I am concerned they went out of business in “The Panic”. I will never do business with them even if it means doing without!

I placed an order with them and it didn’t ship. After a couple weeks I called. Was told there was a big backlog and it would be shipped within two days. Couple of days later it was cancelled with no reason given. The mags were still on the website but now they are double the price! And a few days later the price went up again.

NEVER AGAIN!

Durring the last artificial shortage the local gun dhot had their fair share of price gougers, Eff them. They lost a whole lot of my respect at the time and still to this day.
I had a decent stash of 22lr ammo and i gave a bunch of it away to guys who wanted to buy their kid their first gun, a 22 long rifle.
What the hell good id a gun with no ammo?

I depleted my stash pretty rapidly and have since resupplied it almost to where it was before the fecal matter hit the fan and prior to $50 bricks of 22lr ammunition.
I need to take a couple of paychecks and buy more 22lr ammo for the next left isle go around.

Dicks had a sale last year on 22lr ammo and a $10 coupon in the paper. A brick of 22lr was just over $12.not for me, they can shove all of their product line up Stack's big rainbow arse.
I went to school with Stack, didn't like him then and HATE HIM NOW!.

I was born & raised in Binghamton New York. That is where Dick's Army & Navy started. Down on Court Street. Their store was on the corner of Oliver St and Court Street next to the Acme grocery store.
They shared the building they were in with a small resturaunt. My father died when I was eleven in 1969. That year my mother bought me a Mossberg bolt action 22lr rifle from Dicks for my christmas present. Through my teen age and early 20s i bought a lot of guns and hunting supplues from Dicks.
They out grew that small building and when the Acme grocery store went out of business they bought it and moved their business in to the larger building.
Then they opened a store in Vestal New York.
After that they started to go big and that was their biggest down fall.
I would give up shooting, hunting, fishing and evety other outdoor activity then to dpend a dime at any Dick's store or the other sporting goods stores they own.
BIG 5
FIELD & STREAM.

As far as that goes the same with the whole list of anti 2nd Amendment stores.
7/11
Costco
Panera Bread
Staples
The list goes on & on. We should start a
ANTI 2ND AMENDMENT STORE LIST
As sticky thread.

IDK about the gouging.

You all don't get it, do you? No one is twisting your arm to buy anything from CTD. I've bought quite a bit of stuff from them, including my Kimber and one of my Kahrs. No, I didn't buy a $100 AR magazine from them, I wouldn't have bought one from anyone at that price, not just CTD. This is America... if I want to sell AR magazines for $100... then I should have the freedom to do so, and you have the freedom to not buy one. Get over it.

Maybe you can but when some one stuffs it up your hind end when the chips are down you don't forget it.
Keep on buying your crap from them and stuff it where the sun don't shine partner.
The rest of us will spend our money elseware.

Not necessarily agreeing with any philosophy one way or another but marketing is supply and demand. Supply down, demand up, prices up. Supply up, demand down, prices down. Good old America Capitalism.
Silver lining, some ammo is so plentiful one can buy it cheaper or as cheap as reloading it.

I don't want to start an argument but I'm not talking about supply and demand or capitalism, I'm talking about down right gouging.

I will say this once and then leave it alone. Selling $15 magazines for $30 is one thing, selling them for $100+ is another. Cancelling orders for $15 mags and telling you to reorder at the $100 price tag is just wrong too.

They have no respect for their customers and in turn will get none from me.

I love the emotion here. I’m just waiting for a CTD thread this time in 2050... somebody will be like “back in my prime them jackals went and tried to make a billion on the backs of the customers. Screw em!”
