What have you fired this week?

Went to an indoor range yesterday with a friend. Took my Ruger single six and 357 Blackhawk. Hadn't fired either in at least 10 years, maybe longer.
They felt great. Didn't take long to burn thru a box of 50 .38 spl and 100 .22s.
I think they need to get out more often.

The brand-new (from the box yesterday) Czechpoint VZ-58, my brand-new Walther P99 AS, new Sig P225 ('87 date code), the Maadi "AK clone".
I

A friend's 1950's (?) Italian Beretta in .32 ACP, 1950's Spanish Star in 9x19 (copy of 1911), and a surprise:

….Stoeger 9mm compact, which is a Turkish gun listing for approx. $350. Very cool piece, ok DA/SA trigger (beats an HK DA trigger with OEM factory springs...); my first with any Stoeger.

Armybrat: How do you think the English lady's family (they're still in the UK?) reacted to her range experience?
A very pretty lass from Oz goes for the first time: "YouTube" "John Takes An Anti-Gunner to the Range" (Warrior Poet Society), which is misleading. That young foxy lady had no opinion before her first time with John, a former Ranger who took her to the range near Atlanta.

Thursday I put 50rds through my 41mag Blackhawk. Friday I took the Marlin 1894 out and fired 50 rds. Today I played around with the Winchester 9422mag.

Hi...
Spent the morning at one gun club shooting some test loads with my son for his .30/30 and .308.
Also ran a few rounds through my .375SuperMag at 50 yds. Less than a 2" group at 50yds...a little high and right.
Cold and windy day...34°F, wind 10-12mph.
Need some more range time.
Club was having a public sight in day, so not the best place and time to test for accuracy or make sight adjustments.
Son paid his yearly dues...since I have now transitioned to a dues free lifetime member, I made a cash contribution to the club.

Went to the other club we belong to and shot a pretty good cross section of handguns from 9mm to .44Magnum.
Worked a little more with the SuperMag...loath to make sight adjustments yet. Need more range time with this load before I settle on it or make adjustments to the sights.
We switched from .357sized lubed bullets for our .357Mag revolvers to .358 sized powder coated bullets. Much better results with my son's Taylor Co. Colt SAA clone. If we stick with .358 sized powder coated bullets, I am going to have to make sight adjustments on my six .357Mag revolvers.

Ran quite a few magazines full through both my 1911 .45ACP carry guns. Rang steel from 7-25 yds pretty consistently off hand.

Shot quite a few cylinders full through my Dan Wesson and S&W .44Mag revolvers. Hitting steel targets out to 25yds double action off hand. Well pleased with my results.

Shot some steel at 25yds off hand with my 1873 Cimarron .45Colt lever action rifle. Heavy octagon barrel is easy to hold on target. Practically impossible to miss at that range.
Rifle range was much too busy to move over there and shoot today...just not willing to sit around and wait for an open bench.

Still, all in all, a pretty good day. Some good results and some decisions to make as far as sight adjustments and bullet choices.

Just came in from shooting the Marlin 95 in 45/70. Thought I was going to take it out deer hunting this season but needs work...(well, maybe I need more peep sight time..o_O)
Did a cold shot zero check with the scoped Remington 721 in 270 and it is right where it needs to be so that will be my primary rifle this season.

My Wilson Combat CQB (.45 ACP) at the local IDPA match. All cardboard bad guys neutralized.

Precision Bullets coated 200 gr swc pushed with 4.9gr of WST, Winchester primers.

6 mm Rem with new scope. My rifle shooting needs work. 41 mag with cowboy loads. .357 mag testing new to me HBWC. These shot well.

Wagner Power Plus, dispersion about 10" at 14". Group is eliptical, and strings to the left or right, depending on my cant. I get about 150 trigger pulls before I have to reload. Target analysis shows it will take probably take another day and a half to finish the target (house).

I mounted the Bushnell AR scope on my "poverty pony" AR rifle and got that sighted in today. I also tested a few rounds of reloads in the Savage 223. I'm liking this CFE223 powder. :)
Kinda cool and breezy out back on my range but that's Kansas in November. ;)

Something that was far more exciting, perhaps, than it had any right to be: ~60 rounds of .22LR, through a Mark IV Frankenruger. It was just a function check, but.... It LIVES!

S&W 41 22lr, 38 supper 1911, 45acp 1911, 45 colt Tuesday my day at indoor Range in winter
