I picked up a Canik TP9 Elite SC yesterday at the Gettysburg gun show. It looked interesting and I got interested. I knew that Canik had a good reputation, but other than that I knew nothing about this pistol. I didn't realize until I got home and did a little searching that this is a new release.

I haven't shot it yet but I'm impressed with the build quality. The fit and finish is excellent. It comes with a holster that can be used outside the waistband or inside. Just reverse the hooks. It had a second, smaller backstrap and two mags. A 12 and a 15 round. It also comes with a little tool box that contains some small wrenches, a punch and a few screws. The front sight is a night-sight of some sort. I don't know the exact material that was used. An impressive set-up in my opinion.

I believe that MSRP is $429. I got it for $375 which I was happy with. I didn't know that it was a new release. It would probably be less in a few months down the road, but I'm very happy with my purchase. Can't wait to try it out.

Picked up a newly released handgun and posted without pictures? You’re killing us here...

Half kidding. I can google for pictures, but it’s nice to see how real world examples compare to the advertisements. Please post a thorough review when you get time to shoot it!

Bought a ONE series (one mag, no holster) TP9 Elite from grabagun about 5 months ago. I absolutely love it! By far the most accurate 9mm that I've ever shot. Fit and finish is too notch. It came with Warren Tactical sights with red/green front, I like them so much I ordered a set for my G40. Shoots and handles like a WAY more expensive firearm. I hope you like it as much as I do!
EDIT.
I got so excited to dote on the elite that I didn't notice that it was the subcompact.. if it's anything like the full size Elite, I'm sure it will impress. However, I am curious as to your opinion, so please do share.

Got a pic of those sights?

I would like to handle the SC sometime. Caniks are great guns especially for the price. I have TP9SF elite and the SFX with a red dot sight. the SFX is super accurate. I have had zero problems with Caniks I have owned. My first was a TP9SA really accurate with a great trigger (but sold it to buy the SFX). After the purchase of the SA I was sold on Caniks!

I would by a Canik before a simalar Glock. None of the Caniks I've owned have been unreliable.
