Looks like a Wonder Finish model. I have a Blue 45acp model looks like that one. No Rail.

I like these tanfogolios. that's basically what it is...a cz75 clone sort of. not exact so parts dont interswap, but certainly based on it close enough that I'd call it a clone.
id clean it up and leave as is, but if I was gonna refinish it.....nickel or hard chrome. nice find, wonder how it shoots......

I know finish is rough but whatever. Any serviceable auto is worth $200 in my book.

Going to cost me 250ish to have it completely stripped and refinished. It was used and abused.

Italy stamps on it, EAA import, no telling. It is by far the dirtiest gun I've ever come across at a store before. It has surface rust in multiple areas and visible gunked on gsr.
From what I read before the bad decision it at least accepts the magazines and that was good enough to me. The frame design should mean it shoots like a 75.
Agreed. I passed on it the first day and told them I'd be back next week.... went back the next day and got it lol

It looks like stainless steel to me, the wünderfinish has more of a bluish grey look to it dosen't it?
If it is SS that's great news, just scotchbrite to take out the scratches and Flitz to bring it up to a high polish.
I love "restoring" beat up SS guns, just a little elbow grease and they look brand new.

For what you paid for that if I found it I would have had to run home, brake my piggy, brake my wife's piggy and then put the blankies and pillows on the couch.

Have to say that one of the first things I thought of when I saw this gun was "rode hard and put away wet"! The next couple of thoughts were does this gun even have any finish on it and where are the rear slide serrations (I have seen photos where some FAB 92 models have serrations while others don't).
Ordinarily I wouldn't even give a gun like that a second look but at that price my curiosity might have gotten the better of me and would have offered them $200 OTD just to see what they said!

So good news and bad news.
Good news. It is not chromed. WHY the PO stripped it of the blueing and left it bare I have no idea.
Bad news. It has pitting and rust from severe neglect. The internals also had gummed up lube everywhere, but par for the course at this point.
The discoloring you see on the frame, slide and barrel is not gsr as far as I can tell... appears to be wear to the metal itself.
After afew passes with some CLP I managed to get the action buttery smooth and feel very nice, but there is some things that won't be fixable until it gets blasted and coated. The magazine had some odd debris inside of it hindering the follower, and the follower had what looked like paint? on it... Cleaned most of it up and the feeding improved, but the spring does feel fairly weak compared to a normal spring.
That said I went and grabbed a holster today along with some JHPs. CONFIRMED CZ75B mags DO fit and work. In fact the 75B mags are a PERFECT fit... the included mag has some slop, but the 75B is flush with zero slack.
At this point I'm debating to have it blasted and reblued, or just cerakote it. I like the way blueing looks, but never been a fan of the way it wears.

Jaxinc, are you certain that gun doesn't have the "Wonder Finish" on it? I have one like it in 45acp and was imported in 1992. Everyone that has shot it just loves it. Now I want a 9mm to match it.
As far as I can tell, no. It has no finish at all. The magazine is still blued in comparison.
Either way it has pitting and signs of wear that needs to be treated.
I owned a steel framed EAA Witness in 10mm 20 years ago. The goal with the gun was to eventually get into reloading. The gun was HEAVY - weighing more than my Kimber and Colt 1911's. The factory EAA 15rd or 16rd mag springs seemed weak to me back then. I got laid off after 9/11 and sold it, eventually.
Before selling the gun, I realized I had about 500rds of 10mm. Decided to blast it off in one sitting before selling the pistol. Actually got kind of good with that gun...
Took me another 9 years before I started reloading.
$219 would be tempting to me. Would make a good truck gun or loaner gun.

If CZ 75 mags fit, that means you have a “small frame” gun. Just FYI in case you end up looking for parts on the market... everything EAA has imported for the last ~20 years is “large frame,” so lots of US Tanfo’ parts won’t work. But some CZ ones will.

I'd clean it up as best I could and shoot it as is. Doesn't seem to warrant throwing any more cash at it, not something that's going to escalate in price.
I'm not that expert but if you blast it and leave it bare again it will rust again and even more faster due to the blast finish. I would blast it and the cerakote it (even better adesion to the blast finish maybe?). Second option: polish the gun and have it reblued but to polish corrosion spots you can probably obtain some shape changes in the corners.
It's all about how much you want to spend on it I guess.
