If you don't mind what did you pay for yours? I have one located for $285 with free shipping and no CC fees. I have it in my cart. I just have to hit the buy now button. But I may wait and see if the new wears off and the prices drop.

I had coffee with a friend today - he spoke highly of that Lite Rack"Ruger 22. Said that slide function is easy and the trigger is good. No issues.

What is it for?

I just picked one up for $309 at LGS. $285 is a great price. They will eventually get to that and lower, but it will likely be a bit.

I would, and probably will, buy it as a plinker eventually.

It seems unreasonable to use it for CC when the Kel-Tec P32 is smaller, lighter, and shoots a much more effective round.

I carry the LCPII in 380 fairly often, shoot it well, and for CC I would never ever substitute a 22lr version.

That’s no good from the first experience.

Hope you get a quick fix.

Probably won’t get a chance to shoot mine for a while.

Ejector looks chewed up

Just got one, cleaned it and put 40 rounds of Aguila super duper something er nothers through it, 50 rounds CCI mini mags, and 50 rounds CCI Velocitors. Every type of ammo had one or two failures to feed but the last 50 rounds were a mix of the two CCI and had no failures. So maybe it needed a break in or maybe the last 50 rounds were just luck to feed perfectly.

Once a round fed and the slide went fully into battery, the rounds fired normally. All rounds that got hung up were the 7th or 8th round out of the magazine. Never a problem on the first 6 rounds.

This is my emergency back up only gun so I’m not really worried about the feeding issues at this point. I’ll put more rounds through it next week but for now I’m sure the round in the chamber will fire and the next six are probably ok.

Trigger is a bit long and squishy but I’m good with a pocket pistol that way. Sights are terrible and could be milled off as far as I’m concerned, again I’m good with that. Overall I’m happy with it so far but more rounds will tell me more.

Might be an easy fix - that usually indicates insufficient magazine spring pressure, or sometimes, just some sticky gunk inside the magazine body. The feed problem is likely due to the last round coming up too slow, and not being fully in position as the slide closes.

Disassemble the mag and clean it, and make sure the follower moves smoothly. That might fix it right up.

I love my Rugers. I love my .22s. I love my Ruger .22s. But I keep looking at this and trying to figure out if I like it. I can't decide. Nor can I decide if I want one. Still, I'm looking forward to hearing how these perform.

Scoot over a little. I'm sitting on the same fence you are. I have already said I like pocket 22s and that I was interested in this gun. But I think I will wait until a few more reports come in. But I bet Ruger will do what ever it takes to make them work. Just bugs, there's always bugs.:uhoh:

Good call. I didn’t mention on my previous post that this little gun was filthy right out of the box. The inside of the magazine was even worse. That was a quick swipe with the Q-tip and much of that is gritty. I cleaned it thoroughly and it’s noticeably smoother now so I’ll give it another try tomorrow (I hope).

probably the only time i bought anything on the first day of its public release was this ruger lcp22. added a hogue lcp beavertail grip and finally shot it yesterday. federal bulk had some ftf and ftf but cci standard and minimag, american eagle, and remington viper ammo ran without a problem. magazines aren’t fun to load, no follower, and included loader is worthless. ruger has yet to process my order for two additional mags. in sum, i really like the lcp22. i wish that ruger would offer it in 32acp. if considering semiauto 22lr pistols: the lcp22 is a great carry piece that can be a fine plinker too, and the sr22 is a great plinker that can be a fine carry piece.

It looks like a fun pistol but I'm not sure why you'd carry one of these over a 380 version. It's probably great for training especially since 380 isn't the cheapest stuff.

I bought the 22 as a last resort, weak side, emergency back up only and I'm stocked on 22LR so I don't have to find a place for another caliber. I look at pocket 22s like this one as a real long ice pick, with 11 possibilities to make the bad guy reconsider. :) And that's only if my primary gun somehow goes down.

Good to hear. I just got a lemon
