70BDDD66-FB3C-4B3F-B885-3E70D5AF1B92.jpeg I bought this Security 6 used I think in the late 70s or very early 80s. It was my first center fire revolver. I sold it about 25 years ago when my kids were little for 150 bucks! Well today I had the opportunity to buy it back so I did. Some how it doubled in price but I was happy to have it back:) looks like the day I sold it.

How doggone cool it THAT?!?

I feel your joy. I've been able to reverse a couple-few regretted sales myself and the reward is very sweet.

Todd.

I've been lucky enough to get a few back that I'd missed after selling. It's a nice feeling, Congrats.

How cool is that! I wish all the guns I sold would come back home!

I am a big fan of the Security and Speed Six, but please lose those "presentation grips":)

Like others, I’m not a big fan of the Goodyear’s but I agree that they would make for a much better grip than the factory mess that those came with. Since you got it back for a reasonable price, you might be able to find something of similar profile but more visually appealing. Either way, well done.

I'm certainly not opposed to putting some beautiful wood grips on this old girl, in fact I'd love to if I could find some! If anybody has some suggestions I'd appreciate it. Thanks . Also thank you all for the kind words.

I was not implying wood grips. I take wood off all my revolvers and put Pachs on them. Just different style than the OP.

With a Ruger Security Six or GP100, Pachmayr's presentation grips or Pachmayr's Gripper grips are premium over the original grips that came on the gun. I take the original grips off also. I did on my SP101 also. I have pachmayr's on it also. They are hard plastic instead of rubber. Still much better then the original Lett grips.

Cool! I’m glad your old friend is back in the fold. There is only one gun I really would love to find, but that Savage 99F .308 Win is long gone to a buyer unknown .

Stay safe.
