I am teaching a firearms-ammo identification and nomenclature course to many of our less experienced DDA’s next week, and my buddy loaned me a couple of cannons for display. I use them as extreme comparisons for the less-gun-savvy pupils...

His X frame 460XVR and my J frame 317 AirLite:

His .44 Desert Eagle and my original LCP:

These types of comparisons always get their interest up and help keep it there during the course...plus it’s fun to show them not every gun is an AR-15 or a GLOCK... despite what the media tells us.

Stay safe.

I was thinking about buying a mini revolver just for this class, but a .22 mag Smith 48 spoke to me first...

Stay safe
To be honest the little guy isn't mine. That is my Anaconda. We had the shrimp come out of pawn and I just had to take the picture juxtaposing the difference. If I'd something around in a revolver that dwarfed Thumper I'd have used that but Thumper got the idea across successfully.

Wow! Those are cool!

I had a mini-Beretta Jetfire .25 many moons ago, but a former housekeeper stole it (I think, I can’t prove it :().

Too bad Ca decided silencers are evil decades ago, or I would own a few myself.

Stay safe.

News to me.

The media does misidentify guns all the times in their stories due to their lack of firearms knowledge and their lack of interest in learning anything firearms related.

For example, after a recent mass shooting at a VA state fair the police spokesman said the suspect used an SKS, which he further explained that the gun was similar to an AK47. The press from that point kept calling the weapon an AK47
