So after going back and forth with it....I just bought one thinking it would be at least fun.....and I got to say......I was skeptical but this is way way better than expected.

I admit I thought it was a bit crazy to not have a stock but it really doesn't matter much. Instictive point hip shooting is about 90 percent and climbing with the more I use it. Recoil isn't bad at all, muzzle blast can be a bit startling though. I was able to easily juggle a box I set on the ground hitting it as it hit the ground far away after each shot( it was the best idea I had without clays) with all 5 rounds almost always.

And my wife likes it a lot with minishells.

I was very skeptical but this is a very interesting and useful gun

I like mine. I bought the 410 version so that my fiancé can shoot it. The 410 made more sense since I have arthritis and fibromyalgia and she has MS. Plus I just like the 410. I reload my own 3" buckshot loads with 5 00 pellets which does good out of my Shockwave and my standard Mossberg 500.

I bought one a while back in 20ga, it was cheap (200ish) and different. I will say it is fun to shoot and play with but I haven't really found a real practical use for it. It’s hidden in my house now and I haven’t even seen it in months. Their are better guns for everything I can think of using it for, but to be honest I say the same thing about AR15’s and no one agrees with that.

At the end of the day I can take it or leave it, it’s just not my thing but for $200 what the heck. If y’all love yours, more power to you.

The Shockwave and Rem Tac14 isn't for everyone. You at least have kept an open mind towards them and didn't bash anyone for owning one

I think it's basically just a handy sized gun that shoots buckshot more than anything. Plus slugs too.

4 inch shorter barrel makes it significantly shorter than a shotgun even holding it up to about stock length, so that's handy. Not absorbing a light gun, full power 12 gauge recoil in the shoulder is kinda sweet too, but it's not really a deal breaker.

I could definitely see this working great as a survival/ hiking gun. Not many things are 26inches but can shoot small shot for game/food purposes but can also fire a .72 438gr slug at 1600ish fps. It could be pretty handy stowed somewhere in a bush plane I bet.

It really is easy to hip shoot fast, so defence wise it's pretty handy but I wouldn't want to use it in urban areas in case you missed. The side saddle laser would help there.

And....it's just all around fun

The downside of the 410 version is that there is not any accessories for it.. I did buy a picatinny rail for it. I haven't installed it until I decide what sight to use. The picatinny rail I found will fit the 12, 20, and 410 versions.

I got the 12 because it's way easier to download the 12 then to upload the 20 or 410.

And....12 gauge slugs are pretty easy to fire. 1600fps 438 grains and 72 caliber.....that's a woods gun right there

Mine has become my primary bedside gun. The addition of an SBA3 brace, Holosun sight and TL-Racker forend light (among other mods) really completed the firearm. I am completely unable to leave things as they are when purchased. I'm addicted to modding, lol!

hi warhammer, photo please. brace sounds attractive. just saw this thread, looks complicated as heck...https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...milar-“firearms”-with-brace-and-grips.865699/

anyone here please school me. im no recoil fan, so no 12ga anything. not a hunter or clay sports shooter. i have enjoyable, inexpensive 20ga and 410 single shots for protection, car trunk, occasional plinking and simply checking the box. what would you suggest in $200ish shockwave or cruiser type shotguns for my needs? used or new ok. im not looking at anything needing atf approval. thanks!

I acquired one on a trade, and it had a brace. I found the brace to be bulky so I acquired a Birdshead Grip. I tried various rounds, and I found low recoil 00 to be comfortable for handling.

I attached a side saddle to it, along with a scabbard.

I may put the brace, back onto it...one day.

If five OO Buckshot at .410 range doesn't settle the hash....you shouldn't be hunting Bigfoot to start with!

I love mine. I put an Sb M4 on it along with a side saddle. TL racker going on it next. It’s a fun gun, and it makes a great castle defender in a compact package.
