How many are reloading from home?

Or should I say, have a bit more time for reloading?

My time is split, so 3-4 hrs saved on commuting, and a bit more time for poking around this forum and running the press.

On the flip side, the local indoor range is closed, and it's been windy and cold lately, so unloading is a little slow for me.

I’ve been reloading since 1985, am now retired, so I have time to reload. Luckily I am prepared for any troublesome activities.

I am so bored I decided to use my new Dawson Precision primer pocket gauge to check my 9 mm brass. Actually found some with different head stamps that would not pass. A few were crimped and others simply would not pass. Might have loaded OK but they went into the recycle bin anyhow. So I am not actually reloading but fondling brass has to count for something. Today I think I will weigh all my bullets, you know, just in case.

I was really curious how the reloading community is doing, and didn't want to push the limits on the forum.

I need to move after retirement, so I'm closer to a range - like my own back yard.

I decided to get another one of those Lee bullet feeders for 380. Going to set it up later today on my RL550. I don't mind the larger bullets, but I find 9mm and 380 are slow to load by hand (at least for me).

I'm retired too. Generally I reload about 100 rounds per day. Takes me about an hour. Sometimes I reload 5 days a week, sometimes 1 or 2 days but a week doesn't go by where I don't reload something.

When I retired, my reloading changed from an evening activity to a daytime activity.

Also, I probably have fewer reloading sessions per month, but when I get in the mood, they produce a large volume of ammunition.

I have been casting and new to me powder coating . I sure like it better than Alox .
Playing with the new Lee App press . So far i like it a lot .
And u got a wet tumbler at Christmas and that's Great too .

I reload from home, shoot from home, and probably by the end of next week I'll be working from home. I've been deemed "mission essential" with about 12 other folks, so we'll be locking the door on the way out.

Yesterday was nice so I tested a new 5.56 load and zero'd a couple rifles for it.

So other than matches being cancelled, it really doesn't have the big an impact on me. Normally this time of year I'm prepping brass and loading match ammo, so I'll carry on with business as usual.

I'm reloading more now . Already loaded several hundred and I have many hundreds planed for the near future . Turns out though that I have no premium 9mm projectiles

and I can't find any online :fire:

I have been a remote worker for 17years, so “all of the changes” other folks have been experiencing hasn’t effected my day to day.

Alternatively, I suppose some of my work has been hampered by the new inefficiencies and expanded burdens befalling a lot of the folks with which I communicate. Some projects which were supposed to be implemented before summer are now on hold since we’re not permitted to travel to sites together for implementation of the new technologies.

My reloading hasn’t changed. If anything is really affecting my free time, it’s the fact our school year has been cancelled, so now I’m spending extra time each day with our continued education program.

Nor I (skeered). Unlike some others, I do need to go into work each week to push my projects forward. I like to think they will make a difference for people - most people know someone who uses our products - its not TP, that would be (almost) everyone.

I don't get any time off, I just get to work from home a couple days a week. Which I could do most weeks anyway, but until now, that wasn't really an option.

In Colorado so haven't heard anything yet. Did clean up the reloading area today though. Indoor range I belong to is semi closed. They have 25 lanes, and have closed every other lane to limit exposure. You have to place your name in online and they let you know when a lane is available. So I might avoid it for awhile. I'm young, but I guess I am a little skeered of giving it to my family

Our range was open yesterday also doing the skip a lane method. They set up an outdoor waiting area, first come first served. Was glad to get out and set myself up for more reloading.

Well, there was a guy at our outdoor range who had a camper on his pickup, with a full reloading bench built into it. It was well stocked too. He would shoot a couple rounds, go into his camper for a few minutes, come out with a couple more rounds - rinse and repeat.

I think he was pretty serious about it.

That's a lot fancier than a Lee #310 at the bench....I know a gunsmith who had a mobile shop who would reload shotgun shells in his pickup bed shop at the State Trap shoot.

What's he going to learn from shooting two rounds at a time? That's really strange behavior.
