In the process of updating the visual record of my collection. I decided to start with the cased sets. All of the sets in these photos are 2nd Gens except for the Tucker & Sherrard and the double G&G set

Gold plated and fully engraved. The pistol with it is silver plated and fully engraved. The Navy to the left of it is gold plated and fully engraved, and the Navy to the right is silver plate and fully engraved.

Beautiful! It's always impressive how well percussion pistols look in cased sets.

The only thing you need is a cased set with a shoulder stock. I am partial to those. October Country wants $900 for it. I know he would take $750 for it, but still spendy.
I lucked out in December last year and bought a cased set 1860 Army (ASM) for $450 with accoutrements.
That is the only cased set I have.
Kudos to Fingers and his collection!

Actually, these aren't all the cased sets in the collection. One of the sets not here is the 2nd Gen U.S. Cavalry double cased set. Two 1860 Armies with accessories and shoulder stock.

It's probably because they are 1851 Navies. They are favorites of mine too.

To me, the mark of good cases is to have inletted locks and hinges, rather than surface-mounted. I see that almost all of yours have those features.

Im more interested in how many he owns! I think i may get a cased set one day. Only own a handfull of guns right now but i always drool over the pics he posts

None of these, or the rest of the cased sets, get shot. I have whole other sets of pistols for SASS competition and general plinking. Not only C&Bs but cartridge guns as well.

Love the Model 1860 cased set (with the ivory grip), top row with the gold colored liner!
Let me know if you ever need a hand cleaning out the vault (or vaults as the "case" may be), so these and other cased sets can at least get a little daylight every now and then!
