I've about disposed my Smiths in favor of my Single Actions, though still have this little Model 19, bottom gun, fitted with Eagle Secret Service grips:
And I keep this little one in my desk drawer, a Model 442:
And I still have a little interest in the Model 586:
That 6" Model 586 won me over from a Colt Python, by the way. Still think its the best DA .357 Magnum yet.
This 5" Model 29 full lug is my last S&W .44 Magnum:
I believe these are all the Smith & Wesson revolvers I have left.

Some people on here might say you're just getting started with those.
I say it's a gun for almost every niche, but a few more details on that model 29 would be nice. She looks like she would handle pretty well without being too muzzle heavy.
My buddy has a (I think) 8.5 inch model 27 and while it shoots nice, it's a bit of a bear to swing around offhand in the deer woods.

I think I will start with a few 22s.
It has mostly worn off, but this little M frame 2nd Model Ladysmith was blued once. It left the factory in 1907.
Next up, a couple of I frame 22s, a pair of 22/32 Heavy Frame Targets. The one at the top with the Bekaert style grips left the factory in 1940. The one below with Service grips left the factory in 1923.
Then there's my K-22s
This old girl left the factory in 1932. The other side doesn't look so bad, but I always like to show this side. Lots of wear to the blue and incorrect grips, this one was shipped to the Providence Rhode Island pistol team. A lot of rounds through this old girl, it is my most accurate 22 and my favorite.
Another K-22 Outdoorsman in much better shape, this one shipped in 1935.
This one shipped in 1935 too.
This K-22 Masterpiece shipped in 1950.
This K-22 Combat Masterpiece shipped around 1953.
I bought my Model 17-3 brand-spanky new in 1975.
This Model 17 with its 8" barrel shipped in 1963.
I think that does it for Blued 22s.

Quite well. Especially with magnum ammo. I love the old guns but if I was going to holster one and head out into the woods, that’s the one I’d take.

Driftwood posted a photo of a K-22 Outdoorsman. I was totally unaware of a .22 Outdoorsman. I thought that name was applied only to the N-Framed .38, the ".38-44 Outdoorsman" which was N-framed with adjustable sights. This long before the "Model No. XX" system so recently introduced. Why, I remember when looking through a gun catalog, all the S&W revolvers had names. And their only forage into the auto pistol field was gone.

Well, if y'all can stand a long story, there is a story behind that gun, plus another one as well:
I had bought an early Model 29 from a friend of mine. He had shot only moderate loads in it while he owned it. But I was into some heavy magnum shooting at the time. I began to have some problems with that gun breaking down, too frequently for a magnum revolver. I contacted Smith &Wesson and they told me it was an early model and to send it back for an endurance package installation. I did so, and the gun stayed there so long I thought it had taken root. I finally got some information on the gun and the delay was explained. S&W had just recently announced the full lug barrel at that time, and I asked about having one put on my gun. S&W suggested an 8 3/8" full lug barrel and would give me that installation gratis. So, how could I refuse:
Well, that combination shot like a .30-30 rifle out to around 100 yards or so. So I contacted S&W extolling the virtues of the full lug barrel and asked it they would build me up a 5" full lug gun. S&W agree but told me they could not sell me such a gun, but I would buy a Model 29 and return it to them and they would fit the 5" barrel. I did, they did, and this was the result:
That long full lug was fine shootin' but not very pleasant to carry. I talked with my gunsmith, then Bob Mason, and he told me he could cut the barrel to any length I wanted and could re-locate the sight and ramp. I decided on a 6" barrel and this was the result:
The 5" became my favorite and is my sole remaining Model 29.

Neat story and a beautiful gun to go with it.
Almost makes me want to get a model 29.
But I shoot a LOT of 357 mag. Maybe I need to rethink my plans to buy a model 19 and get a 27.

I have always been a proponent of the bigger bores, especially the .44 calibers. If I were to get into DA revolvers again, this would still be my choice, the Model 29:
