Need a new scope for my 6.5 Creed

I was going to jump in as that is my preferred magnification range... then I realized your budget is higher than all the scopes I own combined. 
I will add Primary Arms though, they make some nice scopes for the price and they have a nice variety of reticles.

4-16x44mm SigSauer Tango4 with Dev-L reticle has become my go-to working rifle scope. First Focal, brighter, better resolution, and less aberration than Leupold VX3i (as a fairly common reference point), and better tracking, illumination. Easy to get them for well under $1,000.

Have had good luck with Vortex, binoculars and spotting scope, so I went with the Razor 3x15x50 hope it works out well.
Started out with a Leupold 4.5 x 15 vari-x III for this rifle which I've had for about twenty years but the elevation and windage adjustments crapped out. Decided that the illuminated sights would be an advantage at my age.

How this all started
OK so I got all my stuff together and loaded 20 rounds for starters.
First up was 10 rounds of 130gr. Hornady ELD match bullets which I put on top of 41.1gr.'s of H4350.
Second was the 140gr Nosler Accubond on top of 38.5gr's of H4350.
Both recipes were seated within .020 of the rifling lands.
Off to the range I go. Before trying out my handloads I decided to shoot some 120gr. Hornady factory loads. First shot clocked 2850fps. on my labradar but failed to hit the target.
Every thing worked perfectly 2 weeks earlier, so what the heck, moved over to the 50 yard range to re-zero my scope but nothing I did worked. Packed up and went home. no sense in trying out my handloads.
When I got home I shoved a lazer bore sighter in the chamber and sure enough at ten feet the scope was off about a foot to the right and another foot to low at approx. 15 feet. windage and elevation turrets were totally non-functional. Scope was about 25 years old so I guess nothing lasts forever but I've never heard of such a thing.

Bummer, but now you have the Razor on the way, so you are well on your way.

Leupold normally has a very good warranty in some are lifetime.How this all started

Give them a call even though you’re purchasing a new scope it would be nice if you came out with a backup.

Leupold will either repair the scope at no charge or replace it. Free
If you don’t believe that, I’ll gladly give you $200 for your broken scope

And that type of warrany will be gone like the dinosaurs, the more folks buy the foreign scopes.
Imagine the press release: Leupold closes last American factory in Oregon as brand is aquired and production moved to China. The name will live on with a new limited warranty.

I ran into a gentleman at the gun range a couple weeks ago, and instead of shooting, he was just looking through Scopes. I got to talking to him and he is a professional scope reviewer on YouTube. Makes more a year than I do nursing. I asked him what Scopes he felt were the biggest bang for the buck right now. He liked primary arms, blackhound, arkan, minox, and the Bushnell engage 30mm Scopes. But he said it varies year to year.
I asked him about vortex and Athlon and he was pretty down on both of them, particularly vortex. He said the new companies generally start off good but then gradually cheapen the components inside while they raise the price. He pointed to scope he was using that day and said it was an $800 scope with about $500 worth of materials and manufacturing in it. He said after selling that for a couple of years inevitably the bean counters come to the scope company owners and say "hey, if you decrease the quality of your Optics from say an 8/10 to a 6/10, you can cut the cost to manufacture from 500 down to $300 and the average person will not notice the decrease in quality, and you can keep the prices the same!e as when you were selling the older, nicer model. He said a lot of the thousand-dollar Vortex scopes right now have about $300 and them. He also said that while Vortex has a tremendous customer service, they have an expected return rate on some of their Scopes as high as 30%. Apparently the industry standard is more like one to 2%.
Now that is just one guy's opinion so take it for what it's worth. But I did think it was interesting to hear. Both his opinions on Scopes and his insignt into how YouTube works as far as generating profit.

Already have the 6.5 Creedmoor along with a 6.8SPC and of coarse the good old 30/06.
All my lever guns are equipped with Williams apertures. I'm sort of leaning towards the 7mm-08.

Oh, just so you know.....
If it hasn’t been processed yet, you can pay the difference and upgrade to a different (higher cost) scope.

Meopta makes very good scopes and tracking is excellent, watch for them on sale and you can save some money. They are a worthwhile scope to check out, I've been considering one myself.
