Stopped by one of my LGS this afternoon to pick up a transfer and got to talking sights on carry guns. One of the guys there was happy to let me check out his EDC (cleared obviously) to look at these sights they were raving about.

I've been very happy with my Ameriglo iDots on both my Glocks but I must admit the Bullseye sight was intriguing. Seemed very Red Dot "ish".

So, anyone have any experience with this sight and what are your opinions?

For the price I'd kind of like to shoot a gun with it first but i may dive in depending on more research.

What say the good folks of THR....

EDIT- I know its Mepro (typo) but my phone won't let me edit the title.

I took a look at them when they first came on the market and their short sight radius sort of turned me off
That is an optical sight and the optics in that sight makes its effective sight radius as long or longer than most slide. Remember there is a very small lens that you are looking at making the dot in the circle alignment effect a longer sight radius than the mechanically length of the sight. They are pretty slick the few time I have handled them but I have not put a lot of rounds down range with them.

I just discovered these online. Any new opinions?
I would not bother. They are not fundamentally any different from traditional irons with fiber.

The fundamentals of marksmanship are 1) sight picture, 2) sight alignment, and 3) trigger control. A red dot sight removes one of the three, making it easier to shoot accurately. But the FT Bullseye does not do anything like that: you still have to align your eyeball, the gun and its bore, and the target. So, there's no functional improvement.

In this, FT Bullseye differs from, for instance, SeeAll sight, which allows you to move the eyeball in the box (although you lose the tip of the sight if you move above the cut-off plane).

In addition, many shooters found it much harder to register a minute misalignment with FT Bullseye. So, groups with it are larger than with traditional sights.
