Just a quick blurb. I finally got the gun that had my 6-24x50 Nitro on it out to play with. This is the first time I've really messed with it at over 100yds.
Turns out the focus adjustment maxes out at 200ish with the knob tapping infinity. Thought it was probably just mine, then did some research and found that it's not a horribly uncommon problem. I never took my 4-20 past 200yds, so can't say if that one suffered from it.

Optically the scopes are still really good, but for my usages not being able to focus properly is a deal breaker, so the scopes on its way back to bushy again.

The only real common complaint I've read is the parallax adjustment fail, if the scope passes that it should be fine.
I'm honestly mildly surprised, the Korean made scope I've used in the past have been excellent. I asked to switch to another line, well see what they say.

So that maybe why there discounted now, make a neck of a scope for a 22lr
Yeah I'd considered just sticking it on one of my .22s or .17, and if it were still the 4-20x44 I probably would have, but the 6-24x50s too big, and I need a scope for that rifle I just built. THAT was suppose to be it for now, but fail, so the cheap Philippines made sig is gonna ride on that gun till it's rail comes in at least.

My forge has done well to 1000 so far, I think my nitro has only seen maybe 300 still need to swap around my combos too but I appreciate the heads-up!

If you haven't noticed it, I think your fine. Mine wouldn't even resolve the image outside of 250yds enough to SHOOT at a target, much less hit it.....it was pretty obviously out, I just never did anything with the thing.

I'm fairly sure what ever machine they used to gauge/set the objective lense distance must have been janky, and the lense and lock rings onnthe front are glued in (can see the glue leaking thru the joints onnthe inside of the bell, or I'd have tried to just re-set it by eye.

Have started to lose confidence in Bushnell. Which began to occur with the constant changes in models and prices. Recently bought a Tract scope and really like it. May be my new best friend.

Ive been looking at Tract lately. A buddy of mine is building a highend rig, and im pretty sure hes going with one.

When my Forge got here and was marked made in China I knew I did not want anything in their line under that.

The Nitros are Korean, not sure where the Primers are made....what I'm finding is it's getting harder and harder to judge a scope by where it's made.

I've still got a couple other Korean Bushys that are old and functional, my Athlons are all Chinese, I got a few American made scopes, and a German.
My largest collection are from the Philippines tho, and span about 30 years

The Phillipine-made Burris's are very impressive for the money, Ive had them and the older US-made Firefields, and the Phillipine scope was actually a bit clearer with better tube finish too.

Had excellent service from my Philippines made scopes as well. Ive actually got 20years worth on hand atm.

Oh as a note, anyone looking for a really good, cheap 3-9x40, the sig whiskey 3s are on close out for round 100 bucks. I may buy a few more just to have.

I, too,, have a Burris Fullfield II 4.5-14X 44mm, which functioned perfectly on a .270. I emphasize this because this rifle had a heavy recoil, but the scope always held zero perfectly. It was a great shooter and dropped deer easily, but I sold it because of the heavy recoil. But, I kept the scope!

The Prime is made in China but I’ve been testing the heck out of the 3 I own. One sits on my muzzleloader, one on an AR, and the third atop a .350 Legend. They’ve tracked well when zeroing, they’re decently clear and bright, and the price was definitely right when I got them. Also have a pair of Zeiss Terra scopes made in China that are holding up nicely, one switched from a 30-06 to a .350 Legend, the other on a .357 lever.

Some of my oldest scopes are Japanese and Philippine Tascos that just keep ticking.

Im definitely not a scope snob, mainly for lack of funding as I try to equip 8 of us with 5 also hunting.
