Got some (accidentally) free custom grips for the RAMI BD...very strange situation.

And I'm not sure how I feel about them. They were supposed to be exactly like the ones in the bottom picture. I even sent the picture as a reference and asked for them to be the exact same. Here's the crazy part though. After they responded to my request for a custom grip quote, they sent an invoice for the final price. I decided against it as they were pretty high and moved on in life. Basically I didn't pay the invoice or respond, which means it was never made into an actual order...just a quote. That was over a month ago. Never thought anything else of it. Well these randomly showed up this morning right as I was leaving for work. The invoice in the package had them labeled as "Custom Grips Quote". The price for the actual grips and the shipping was even listed as "$0". What REALLY got me though is that the printed invoice for all of this had details wrote by hand so someone had to physically look at that invoice before sending these out. It's very surprising to me as it's a well known company and that's a huge oversight. I don't wanna take anything for free. I also don't wanna pay the full custom price for something that's not what I requested. The reference image I used was their own work that they posted on their own Instagram. I'm gonna email them tomorrow and offer to send them back. I only tried them on the gun because I was gonna go ahead and pay the invoice if everything looked okay. They don't look bad to me, and they feel amazing. Just not what I was going for.

I like the grips that you received much better than the ones with the wider yellow border. To me, the extra yellow cheapens the look.

I’m assuming that you got those from Lok. I think they are worth the money, less the custom charge.

If I owned a Rami, I would keep the grips. Plus, they feel great!

It was them. I just didn't wanna name the company (albeit fairly obvious) out of respect for whoever made the error. They are very nice grips from a quality standpoint. Of course I've not shot it with these on but they feel nice and have absolutely zero play or flex, as expected from this company.

They're growing on me but at $35 more than a pair with the standard pattern, I'm trying to decide here. These do have a liner but it's basically invisible in person, and definitely not done how the other RAMI ones in their pictures are. I have to use flash just to get it to show up at all in any pictures. I'm gonna see if they're interested in taking the standard price for these.

I actually like the original grips with the wider red stripes and the narrower black strip (could live without the yellow border though). I don't really care all that much for the pair they sent you; I would be more inclined to send them back.

I just got a Rami about a week ago. I've been looking at grips to dress it up a little. I think you have some nice grips there, but I would be on the phone, or send an email, and get this set right with the company.
I have Lok grips on my CZ75 Compact and like them alot. So far, I've been happy with the rubber grips on the Rami, but when you have a nice gun, you like to make it look good.

Got it taken care of. Told them I'd gladly send them back or pay the price for a standard pair...just couldn't do the full $92 they asked for something that looked way different do to the implementation of the patern. They sent me a new invoice and thanked me for letting them know about everything, instead of just walking away with free product. It appears all is well now.

Those grips turned out beautifully.

Side question, whose finger extension are you using?
Thank you, and it was this but it appears I bought the last one.

There is good news though. The guy has been making them for years and is very well known in the CZ RAMI world. Just message him on ebay and I'm sure he'll put one together for you. His account name is mjeter305

Or you can do it yourself with relative ease. It's simply a Pearce grip for the XD that's been modified to fit the RAMI.

What's a good strong side, owb holster for a RAMI?

I like the set without the yellow border.

That red looks just like twizzlers or the other theater licorice... A beautiful color.

Also without the yellow - makes me think of the old 7th Infantry Division patch.
