For anyone who is seeing a diminished stock, take a look at Target Sports USA. Tonight I see they have at least 100 1,000 round cases of Federal 55 grain FMJ 223 Remington for .70/round or .64/round if you’re a Target Sports member. Free shipping as well regardless of membership. Seeing these rounds going for $1/round on Gunbroker. Get it quick if you need some.

I also see they have various 223/556 hollow points at varying prices.

UPDATE: As of 09/09/2020 11:31 AM CST, this is now out of stock.

I still think that .64 per round of this ammo is not bad considering the times.

Ya, I agree. A little more than double what it was going for in February of this year. I haven’t seen quality 223/556 in stock at all and I’ve been looking every day. Gunbroker is the only place I’ve seen it and like I said it’s going for around $1/round for FMJ like this.

So if you don’t have a stock of 223 or are running low or are just getting into guns and need some, this looks like a pretty good deal considering the times and availability of AR ammo.

That is the item I was mentioning in this post. It happens to be listed on that page too. That’s the only one I don’t see back ordered which is why I posted it here.

On the wiki link above,,,,,,,, Is there anything wrong with the brass WW, AE, and PMC that's listed in the .39 to .55 range?

If you click on any of those product links, you will see that those items are back ordered at Sportsman’s until at least November to December and they say that’s subject to be extended once you get on the wait list. So my link above was for in stock Federal ammo at Target Sports that one can get right now for people who want or need ammo quickly vs waiting at least 2-3 months for that other stuff.

Got it. Thanks.

I clicked a link or 2 but didn't notice the B/O comment.

I don't even have a 223/556 gun... but I have a round 600 rounds on hand anyways. Lol... I'm not in the market for more ammo i cant shoot.

I just happen to see a lower price and thought it might be new stock ppl hadn't been aware of yet.

Yep, there were over 100 1,000 round cases when I posted this days ago. Obviously it’s gonna go quick but I posted it soon after it initially came in stock so people had time to buy.

Yes but you can’t compare now to then. I was paying .28 -.30 a round as well in February of this year but a lot has changed since then. Gunbroker prices of in stock 223556 are at $1/round. This was a great deal for anyone who has a Prime membership at Target Sports and was running low on stock as prices are low there relative to other places.

Last order for 1K 55gr 5.56 was $299 @ Target Sports with a $50 rebate. That was early Spring, this year. If'n you are buying it now, you're "early." Joe

I have 1000 rounds of wolf 9mm that I ordered back in late may, early June. It gave me an estimated delivery of 10/10/20. I dont think they charged my card yet but I'm wondering if there was any fine print I didnt read about prices subject to change or some such thing. I'm hoping it comes next month for the $215/1k as advertised at that time. Not sure, never had ammo backordered for such a lengthy time.

I do wish there was an option to get in line for whatever bulk ammo comes into stock, preordered wolf, but i wish i could have just set it so I recieve whatever brand becomes available in that price range......

I'm wondering a bit on doing that (backordering, just to stake a claim to whatever ammo at a decent price there might come up).

I used to be a SG member, but let it lapse years ago because I could get better deals elsewhere. I'm curious about signing up for a trial membership, doing a back order... do you have to keep the membership if they don't ship in the trial period? Or do they upcharge your order, or even better, cancel you?
