The list of options is nearly endless. Just about everybody makes something like that.

Is there a particular characteristic you're looking for to narrow down the recommendations? Do you prefer leather or kydex? Open top or closed?

Some leather options

Some kydex options

I could keep on going, and going, and going, ...

I carry 2 .45ACP 1911 mags offhand in a pair of BladeTech Eclipse pouches that I setup as twins; it curves much more than a dual pouch. Retention is adjustable with a hairdryer.

That said, BladeTech's warranty policy is disappointing, and I would lean towards CompTac.

I would still buy two single pouches and join them on a curve, or buy the CompTac that comes that way, and is much more robust.

Bianchi has a companion for the UM84/M11 holster that uses a similar spring clip that is very sure.
They make both a single stack or a double stack.

Really, there are a zillion ways to tie the knot on this. And, you are like as not to buy several in finding the right one for your needs.

Thanks for the info, I'm thinking budget Kydex. I have been using cordura folding knife sheaths with a velcro strap, they work ok just lookin to upgrade. I'm a little concerned about Kydex retention on a 1911 mag with no strap.

Depending on your belt, and how you wear it, I have seen comments from folks that have pulled their clip on mag pouch off the belt, with the mag, when trying to do a mag change.

I carry two in a simple leather "holster" that I carry in my back pocket. Works quite well. They're not falling out of my pocket unless I'm hung upside down by my ankles. On my belt, I use some of the 1918 GI magazine pouches that apparently a huge number of sat in storage for decades and are still fairly easy to find.

what does he say at 1:51 and 8:25? 'MALTSFLUMBLYSOMETHINGBELT?'
I believe he says "Attaches firmly to the belt"

For instance a clip on, or paddle holster that comes off the belt with the gun when you try to draw the gun would be bad.
